Rod 'N Reel at Ponds Lodge - Cabin 49
This new, spacious 2400 sq ft cabin was finished in late 2022. If you're looking for the perfect escape, look no further! The porch wraps around the cabin with three separate entrances into the cabin. There is a propane BBQ grill available with free propane refills at the local lodge. On the main floor, there is a mudroom/laundry room, a fully stocked kitchen, living room with a propane fireplace. There is a main bathroom with a granite double sink vanity and tub/shower. There are two bedrooms on the main floor. Each has king beds with the master having an ensuite bathroom. Make your way up the handcrafted log stairs and you will find a bonus living room with (2) memory foam Queen sofa-sleepers, tv, and foosball table. There is queen-sized Murphy bed as well. This lofted area even has double doors that open up to a small balcony facing the Buffalo River to the south. There is a bathroom with a double vanity and a door separates the space from the toilet and tiled tub/shower - great if you have a houseful trying to get ready in the morning. The third bedroom has (2) Queen beds, a nightstand, a dresser, and a tv. The fourth bedroom has a King bed, dresser, nightstands, tv .The majority of furniture and furnishings in this comfortable cabin were crafted by local artisans and the cabin owners. No expense was spared making this cabin your home away from home. Truly the perfect setting for your family gathering, holiday getaway, vacation or snowmobile trip. The local lodge (that manages this property) is less than a 5 min walk and has a gas station, c-store, and bar/restaurant. Also in walking proximity is the Buffalo River. Bring your fishing rod or kayak and enjoy the great outdoors. If you're lucky, you'll see moose during your stay that make regular trips to the river. *This cabin does not have a fire pit and campfires are not allowed.*

Awesome weather, trails were in great condition.The food is always delicious at Ponds. The location of the house was perfect for the trails we wanted to explore. Super clean and comfortable for the 6 of us.My only recommendation would be to streamline the dishes, pots and pans so there is room to put away groceries.

Beautiful home with everything your group needs to cook and eat! Well stocked with plenty of dishes/cups/pans etc. The laundry area entrance was great for taking off snowy/wet items and hanging up after a long day of snowmobiling. Loved the suitcase holders for unpacking. Loved that there were 2 areas to relax with plenty of seating. Within walking distance of small store and restaurant as well.

Staying in Island Park made for the most magical Christmas ever!!! We are from Texas, so all the snow made us so happy! Casey was an amazing host! However, the owners of the property removed the Christmas tree before we got there and did not seem to communicate that with her. It broke our hearts, but Casey went above and beyond to track down a tree for us! The stay was incredible despite that hiccup! But, if you’re planning to go for Christmas, plan to supply your own tree if having one is important to you! We plan to return!
