This is a newly constructed home with now expense spared directly on Candlewood Lake. It has a amazing Chef's Kitchen with top of the line appliances, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, playroom and bunk room level, Dock on lake in less traveled cove, large deck with seating area. Please note this is a lake front home on a slope with 115 stairs to lake and steep property.

Start to finish this one was exactly what we were hoping for. The location is tucked away in a private neighborhood w/gorgeous views of Candlewood Lake through lush green foliage. The house itself is so well put together for large/small groups. We cooked nightly in the gourmet kitchen complete with a Sub Zero fridge that I now have to order for my wife. The Wolf range was spectacular. We had plenty of pots, pans, utensils, supplies, countertop space. There is a huge island that we all congregated at morning, noon night, just like at home & just like we were hoping for. There is a large dining room that we utilized nightly for family dinners. The living room had with a huge sectional and a large smart TV allowing you to sign into all your streaming services quickly and easily. All of this with the stunning vistas as your background. Upstairs was 4 sizable bedrooms w/3 full bathrooms - more than enough for our group to comfortably enjoy our holiday disconnect. The basement was perfect for the kiddos to hang & get some space from the adults w/another smart TV. The massive deck off the main living space was greatly appreciated even through the cold Thanksgiving weather. I imagine this property would be incredible in the summer months with direct lake access, a pellet smoker. Parking was amble for our in town guests, the wifi was easy to join and quick, the location was close to markets. The hosts were communicative & you can tell they have real pride in their home. The house is beautiful and very spacious feeling!! Loved the kitchen! Loved sitting on the deck with our view of the lake! We had a wonderful time !!

House was beautiful and comfortable - the pics represented it well. Yes, there's a steep set of stairs descending to the lake, but that wasn't a big deal and children were able to navigate them easily with adult supervision. Attention to a few small areas would help push this to a 5-star stay: There was a strong smell in the basement/bunk floor (maybe fresh paint?) that made it impossible for some of us to be there for the first day and night of our stay without coughing. The pots and pans all had scratched, non-stick coatings and need to be replaced to be safe to use. There wasn't a tea kettle. The doors were difficult to close inside the house. And there weren't any directions on how to handle the indoor and outdoor flues when using the outdoor fireplace - the owner/manager also didn't know how to advise us when the house started filling with smoke (although later we all figured it out). The house has a lot of potential and we had a really nice stay, but it would help to work these small kinks out.
