Rules & Regulations
- Small dogs (30 lbs and under) may be considered with individual approval and $200+ pet fee. Please contact/email for approval before reserving with pets. Pets are prohibited unless specifically approved in advance. Guest is responsible to know and follow all State and County laws and regulations concerning pets.
- Beginning April 1st, Litchfield by the Sea will charge $5 per day, per car for parking passes. One pass is included in your reservation. If any additional passes are needed, you will need to contact our office prior to arrival
- No Smoking (Minimum of $500 penalty assessed)
- No grills/open flames allowed on porch(s)
- No Loud Music/Noise
- Must be at least 25 years of age to rent
- Pets Allowed (Minimum of $500 penalty assessed if not approved prior to stay)
- Motorcycles, jet skis, RVs, campers, trailers, and trailered boats are not allowed in Litchfield by the Sea
- Please note that to enter the property you will have to climb a set of stairs. **There is no elevator at this property**
Litchfield by the Sea is the perfect location for a family vacation or getaway with friends! Regardless of the reason, the Pawley's Island area is far enough from the traffic and crowds, but still, a short drive to the wide variety of attractions, shopping, dining, and entertainment. The area is a golfer's delight with many top-rated courses within a 15 minute drive, restaurants and shops are a abundant and easily accessible from this property. Just a short drive north are all the attractions and shopping of Myrtle Beach, Broadway at the Beach, Coastal Grand shopping center, the Myrtle Beach boardwalk, and one of the world's largest Ferris wheels. For a unique cultural experience, Brookgreen Gardens displays one of the world's largest collections of sculpture by American artists in a lush outdoor setting, along with a zoo and butterfly garden, it's just a few minutes south on Business 17. Murrells Inlet is also just a short drive to the north and features the world famous Marsh Walk, with incredible dining and shopping and exciting water activities such as fishing, boating and the ever popular dolphin cruises!
*The LBTS Owner's Board of Directors passed a new admission fee to be known as a "Resort Fee" for all vacation renters. All owners or their rental agents are required to collect and remit the funds for renters arriving after January 1, 2024. Funds collected will be used to offset wear and tear, develop new amenities, and support major improvements. Effective Date 1/1/24 - $15 per night charge (max charge is $210 per rental).

This is the second time we have stayed at the property. We like this location because of its proximity to the community pool and short walk to the beach. The only complaint I have is the side door to the screened porch does not lock. Although Litchfield by the Sea is a very safe area, this still needs to be fixed.

We booked this unit for a family vacation. The unit is right on the water with a beautiful view and lots of wildlife to enjoy. We loved having morning coffee on the screened in porch or up on the roof. There were lots of amenities in the resort with other restaurants well within walking distance. We also enjoyed its location to Brookgreen Gardens and Huntington State Park. We absolutely plan on booking here again.

It was such a pleasure working with Mandy. Mandy made the whole process super easy, from answering our questions, checking in and all the way through checking out. The house was warm and inviting. Perfectly located by a pool and surrounded by the beautiful salt water lake. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return again. We love Litchfield by the Sea.

You can’t beat the location, but this property is in some serious need for some TLC. For the amount we paid (which included over a thousand dollars of fees!) I expected it to be better kept. There were potato chips all over the porch floor and dead and live bugs inside. The stairs to the entrance had a step that was not actually screwed in, but they did send a handyman the next day after we reported our concern. As we stayed longer we noticed more issues, but after 2 visits from the handyman we stopped reporting them because we didn’t like the interruption to our stay. The room with the king bed is actually a loft at the top of the stairs and has no door to provide privacy. We did enjoy the pool and the easy access to the beach. The kitchen was well equipped enough to cook our own meals. iTrip was reasonably responsive to questions and concerns.
