About this house rental
The Bagaduce is a tidal river that empties into Penobscot Bay and is one of the most active estuaries in Maine. Camp Bagaduce looks over to historic Castine, and guests can see the State of Maine ship, the Maine Maritime Academy training ship when in port.
Sturdy, fairly steep steps lead down to the inviting gravel and rock beach. From the porch, guests enjoy soothing breezes, and sounds of eagles, osprey, great blue herons, and other waterfowl. Seals are often spotted..
Located off a quiet side road in Brooksville, Blue Hill Heritage Trust Ferry Landing Trail is a 10-minute walk down the quiet side road. Camp Bagaduce is about a 20-minute drive to Blue Hill, the town at the head of the peninsula with a Hannaford grocery store, Blue Hill Co-op, fitness center and pool, hospital, library, bustling main street, unique shops and galleries, and a variety of places to eat. This property rents Saturday to Saturday from June through September.
PLEASE READ: The bank down to the beach is steep and children should always be monitored when outside. There are cottages on each side of the property that potentially could have owners there periodically. Dogs are welcome however the owner requests only non-aggressive dogs under 60 pounds.
