Stable Cottage

Lovely quiet village setting. Perfect location for getting to places of interest. The local pub does great food and the village shop/cafe is very well stocked. The cottage is great - nicely set out, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Eddie is a super host - and the welcome pack was very thoughtful. Mum and I highly recommend Stable Cottage.

First and foremost, the host, Eddie, was the sweetest man ever. He made me immediately feel welcomed and was very kind and helpful. The cottage itself was in the perfect location to take short trips to Hadrian’s Wall, Carlisle Castle, Talkin Tarn park, and more. It was well fitted with every amenity needed for a short stay and was a perfect getaway for my dog and I. Eddie also left a variety of snacks (fruit, coffee, tea, juice, milk, cookies, and fresh bread) which added to the homey-ness of the place. The separate garden was the perfect place for my dog to run around and have some off-leash zoomy time.

Nothing could be better - it was perfect!

Absolutely OUTSTANDING!!!!! Spotlessly clean, lovely and warm, lots and lots of hot water, really comfy beds, beautiful fluffy towels too!!! The host Eddie was just AMAZING - and the HUGE surprise was the AWESOME goodies that were then when we arrived! There was: Strawberries, Fresh cream, Tub of Mackie's Vanilla ice cream, Fresh milk, Fresh bread, lots of gorgeous biscuits, loads of coffee and tea and sugar! We will definitely go back in the future for sure!!!
