The location was well placed in the old town on the edge of the gentrified area. The block of apartments were smart and modern but the rest of the street was dilapidated. We enjoyed the terrace onto the street.
Some people may prefer a smarter street but we felt it was safe enough where we were. There is a big police presence in the old town but care should be taken. There are some rough areas not far away and of course most people are fine but......

Close to casco viejo
Close to bus station, bakery, grocery store
Clean and quiet and safe (lots of police presence in Lisbon)
Air conditioning worked well, fully equipped kitchen, laundry available
Neighbourhood was a bit run down but interesting and relaxed - apartment was great

Excellent location, a few minutes walk into the old town and 4 minutes walk to a large supermarket and local shops. The apartment is very clean. Quick communication with host to arrange check in. Netflix was a lovely surprise. Would love to say here again.
