Great overnight stop en route through France. Wonderful food.

Convenient stop on our way from Calais en route to Spain. Main attraction is the wonderfully delicious four course meal you can opt for. Very enjoyable first night in France after a long drive. This was the reason we returned for a second year. Lovely friendly family.

A lovely welcoming chambre d’hôte but too isolated and needs some tidying up outside.

We were warmly welcomed by Sophie and Christophe. The house was spotless and our room was superb, and the evening meal was a delicious. Followed by a good night’s sleep in a comfortable bed.

Very difficult to find, as the address given failed to mention that it isn’t actually in Levesville-la-Chenard but in a hamlet a few kilometres away, so we wasted time exploring the wrong village in the dark! Also the house sits in an unmade cul-de-sac full of muddy puddles so unloading the car was a challenge.

A lovely stopover on our way to the South of France.

They went out of their way to make our small grandchildren welcome, as well as us. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a delicious dinner and breakfast was super.

Lovely host and great breakfast.

We were warmly welcomed late in the evening, plates for dinner already on the table for us (I let them know we brought our own food) and a complimentary tea afterwards. Breakfast was amazing, crispy bread, good cheese, fresh juice and so many jams to try! They’re also for sale!

Very good

The owner is a lovely lady that did everything to make me feel comfortable. The place is near the highway. The room has just been renovated and is very clean and comfortable. Breakfast and diner were good. I will surely come again.

I thought I had arrived in the wrong place becaus ethe outside does not look very nice.

Great location in a new annex, great food with exceptional hosts

A beautifully tranquil location in a small rural village. The owner (Chris) and his wife made us really welcome from the moment we arrived. They invited us to sit in the garden when we arrived to enjoy the evening sunshine. We had pre-ordered dinner and were asked what food we liked. With our hosts we enjoyed freshly picked asparagus, barbecued vegetables with steak, a selection of cheeses and a home-made tart for dessert. The bottle of Bordeaux at €10 was great value. The home-made jams for breakfast with eggs from their own hens was equally delicious. We will visit regularly every time we drive from Calais to the South of France as everything was just perfect, including our really friendly hosts.

Cosy room and nice shower. Lovely outside seating area. Sophie and Christophe go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Great dinner and excellent breakfast! Perfect stopover on route from Spain to the Netherlands.

Memorable rural hospitality and comfort an hour's drive south of Paris

Located strategically in a rural area about one hour south of Paris, we recommend this accomodation highly as an overnight stop (especially if you have some command of French). Modest hosts Sophie and Christophe have what it takes: they are incredibly hospitable and accomodating, offering a brand new, well appointed guest room and a generous and tasty table d’hôte. Sophie in particular loves her guests, and is bent on spoiling them: her generous breakfast is beyond compare. We look forward to our next stay!

Owners were very concerned with pleasing us as their guests. Breakfast was prepared with care and it was delicious. The room was immaculate with modern facilities and a very comfortable bed. We used this as a stopover while heading to CDG airport in Paris.

De locatie is heel bijzonder, het ontbijt overdadig en heerlijk en ik kan zeker aanbevelen om aan te sluiten bij het diner. Heerlijk en typisch frans!

Prima verblijf voor op doorreis van of naar het zuiden van Frankrijk. Het diner was super en het ontbijt ook. Aardige en gastvrije mensen.

De wc op onze kamer (eerste etage aan de achterzijde stond feitelijk midden in de kamer. Maar goed, het was maar voor 1 nacht.

Zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw, zeer schone B&B, heerlijk eten en dat alles voor een redelijke prijs.

Als je meerdere dagen wilt verblijven dan is de kamer te klein en ontbreken een paar fauteuils of stoelen.

Vriendelijk, mensgericht verblijf met mogelijkheid voor een diner dicht bij doorgaande route.

Heel vriendelijke en zorgzame mensen die je het echt naar de zin willen maken. Je bent bij hen thuis in elk opzicht, ook fysiek. Wat het bijzonder maakt is dat je de mogelijkheid krijgt om 's avonds een lekker diner bij te bestellen, waarbij je met de andere gasten aan tafel aanschuift. Het ligt midden in uitgestrekt akkerbouwgebied op korte afstand van de doorgaande autoweg.

De omgeving zelf heeft weinig te bieden. Het is duidelijk te zien dat men stap-voor-stap de kamers en voorzieningen aan het opbouwen is. De privacy is beperkt, zowel in de kamer (geen scheiding tussen toilet en slaapruimte), als onderling tussen gasten en gastgezin.

Ontzettend vriendelijke en gastvrije mensen. De ruime kamer was schoon en stil. Prima Chambre d'hôte op het platteland. Table d'hôte was ook heerlijk en uitgebreid.

De achtertuin kon wat opgeruimder, maar dat was niet onoverkomelijk.
