Appenzeller Huus Löwen

From start to finish, this hotel and its employees are absolutely incredible. The location is wonderful with easy rail service to Jakobsbad/Kronberg, Appenzell, Ebenalp and more. Gonten was a great, quiet and charming town with a number of great dining options. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming. They did everything to help make our stay wonderful. The breakfast was a perfect way to start every day and had plenty of options for everyone. The spa was very nice and the specific family friendly hours were so very much appreciated! We ate dinner at the Quell and truly had one of the best meals of our trip! The bar was wonderful with personable and wonderful staff. We had just the best time!! Our family room was also great! The bunk beds were awesome and our kids slept really well. The blackout curtains were very much appreciated after a long day in the mountains. We all slept the best we had anywhere on our two week adventure. After a few nights in the mountains gasthaus, we needed this experience to rest and recharge!

Gute Taverne für kleine Speisen in wunderschönen Atmosphäre.

Lange Anmeldung, trotz Reservierung. Der Fernseher funktioniert nicht, die Klimaanlage ebenfalls nicht. Bei geöffnetem Fenster war es ab 6 Uhr morgens sehr laut. Das iPad zur technischen Unterstützung fanden wir unter dem Bett versteckt…. schade.

Breakfast could be better. There was little choice. Location is good as it is close to the railway station, however, the town itself doesn’t have much to offer.

There was no lounge area in the hotel itself. One has to cross a road, no pedestrian crossing, and cars drive at 60 km/hr. There was supposed to be a tunnel to the other hotel but it wasn’t open yet when we stayed in the hotel. But there is hardly a lounge area in the other hotel (part of a group of hotels), too.

ازعاج اجراس الكنيسة كل ربع ساعة تضرب الاجراس المزعجة وعلى راس الساعة تضرب بشكل مستمر لمدة دقيقة اطلالة على مقابر الموتى خلف الكنسية القرية شبة معدومة الخدمات اقرب شي مدينة ابنزل حدود 6-8 كيلو
