Cozy cottage minutes to Blowing Rock

We had a wonderful time staying at Amy's stone cottage. Everything was clean and organized on arrival, and Amy's communication was excellent. Couldn't have asked for anything more :)

We had a wonderful stay at the Stone Cottage in Blowing Rock! We had family ranging from great-grandmother down to 11-week old, and everyone was comfortable and had a great time. The location is perfect - close to Blowing Rock, Boone, and the Blue Ridge Parkway - but it's not IN the towns. So the young adults who wanted night life could get that; the folks who wanted shopping could enjoy it; those who wanted to hike could do so; and we all enjoyed waking up to birdsong and gorgeous views. Sunset from the hot tub was pretty awesome, too! ;-) The kitchen was well-stocked with equipment, and the chef in our party was pleased :-) Do take seriously the note that the drive up to the property is steep; it is, but we had no trouble accessing it in fair weather and even rain (snow and ice may have been a different story for those without chains and 4WD). Thanks to the owner and management for a memorable vacation!
