Bosboerderij de Veluwe, Mooi Huisje in het bos

Wake up to the sound of countless chirping birds and squirrels scampering through the garden. That’s what you’ll experience during a stay at our vacation home. The vacation home is located on the Goudsberg, a breathtaking part of the Veluwe with endless forests and vast fields. From the house, you can walk right into the woods. There are beautiful hiking trails and clog paths. It’s wonderful to come home to our house after a day outdoors. Light the wood-burning stove and some candles, or sit out on the patio for a while with a refreshing drink.

The vacation home, built in a farmhouse style, has been completely renovated and stylishly furnished. The luxurious, spacious kitchen is equipped with an induction cooktop, dishwasher, combination oven, and Nespresso coffee machine. A filter coffee maker is also available.

The log table is the cozy heart of the house. In addition to enjoying meals, the table is perfect for lingering over a meal or playing a game together. Prefer to curl up with a book on the couch by the wood-burning stove? That’s certainly an option too—you’ll find a wide selection of board games and books in the cabinet.

In the large garden, you’ll find a big patio table with comfortable chairs and a cantilever umbrella. Of course, there’s a barbecue. For sun lovers, there are 2 lounge chairs ready to use.
The kids can have a blast jumping on the trampoline or playing in the playhouse. For the little ones, there’s a seesaw. The garden is completely fenced in, making it ideal for young children or the dog.

There are two bedrooms in the forest farmhouse. One bedroom features an ultra-comfortable box-spring bed with a mattress topper measuring a generous 180x210.
The second bedroom has two box-spring beds and a single bed with a pull-out trundle. The trundle is perfect to pull out if a fourth child is coming along.
The house can accommodate up to 5 adults. For families with children, there is room for 6.
Bed linens can be rented, so the beds will already be made upon arrival.
For the little ones, a crib, high chair, and baby bathtub are available free of charge.

The bathroom has a walk-in rain shower and sink. The toilet is separate.
A washing machine and dryer are available in the storage room. There is a parking space for your car next to the house.

The Geographical Center of the Netherlands is located in Lunteren, just 400 meters from the forest farm.
The village has a charming, car-free center with many nice shops and restaurants.
The Bosbad Lunteren is an outdoor swimming pool in the woods with a large green sunbathing area.

No visit to the Veluwe is complete without a walk through the woods. On the Goudsberg and in the Lunterse Buurtbosch, there’s so much to see you won’t know where to look first. You won’t find a more beautiful view than the one from the Hessenhut.
Feel like a hike off the beaten path? Then take the Meulunterenpad, a beautiful clog trail around the Goudsberg. This walk takes you through one of the most beautiful parts of the Veluwe. You’ll stroll through the centuries-old Luntersche Buurtbosch and can climb the De Koepel observation tower for a spectacular view. The trail also takes you past De Grote Zandgroeve, and a little further on, you’ll come to a historic Germanic well with original remains from the Iron Age. The kids are sure to have a blast playing in the super-fine drifting sand of the Wekeromse Zand, one of the few active drifting sand areas in Europe. The Veluwe is also stunning in winter. It’s often quieter then than in other seasons. At the end of the afternoon, as dusk begins to fall, with a little luck, you’ll hear wild boars grunting and roe deer barking.

The Veluwe is a popular cycling region. There are many beautiful routes. Mountain bikers will also find plenty to enjoy here. The well-known MTB routes have been updated. There are now four official mountain bike starting points. The routes near Lunteren, Ede, and Otterlo can be ridden separately, but they can also be linked together for an epic mountain bike trail through the Southern Veluwe.

Several restaurants are within walking distance, including Restaurant de Goudsberg and Pannenkoekenhuis het Uilenbos, which has a large playground.
