About this apartment rental

A beach lover's dream apartment complex, Mi Capricho is right on the beach in Calahonda, one of the most successful beachfront properties in the area. This front-line beach complex has four blocks strategically located around two large kidney-shaped swimming pools.
Situated in the heart of Calahonda with access directly off the main N340 road which links Malaga with the Marbella area of the Costa Del Sol. Shop, restaurants, bars and entertainment are all within walking distance from the complex.
Two large kidney-shaped swimming pools are the centrepiece of the complex. The complex also has a kiddie pool, underground parking for all guests and a beachfront tiki bar. The back pool is open all year. The main pool at the front is seasonal, usually from April/May to September/October, weather permitting. The tiki bar is also seasonal and opening times may vary depending on weather, etc.
Calahonda is popular for its array of shopping, and local markets conveniently located just a walk from the complex. The area has a great selection of restaurants and evening entertainment.

The boardwalk extends from La Cala de Mijas to Cabopino passing through Calahonda. The boardwalk continues across the Cabopino sand dune nature reserve. Our guests can access the boardwalk directly from the community gardens and enjoy a brisk walk or a gentle stroll along our beautiful coastline. The boardwalk forms part of the Senda Litoral De Malaga (Malaga coastal path) and when eventually completed will run from Nerja to Manilva and span 163kms. The boardwalk has bars and restaurants along the way as it hugs the coastline.

Mijas Costa: 6 Miles of some of Spain's best beaches running from Fuengirola to Marbella at the heart of the Sunny Costa del Sol. The perfect quiet holiday spot for sun worshipers and golfers alike being well away from the hustle and bustle of the main resorts.

Alan's apartment in Mijas is great: the interior is nice, comfortable and well thought-out so that nothing is really missing. The exterior is fantastic with the terrace, the wonderful pool and the mediteranean sea directly close-by. Furthermore, is an ideal starting point to explore the region such as Mijas Pueblo, Marbella and Ronda.

We had a wonderful stay in the apartment which had everything that we wanted and was right by the sea. We spent every morning watching the sea and many days by the pool that was lovely. The pool bar was ok but too expensive for what was offered but very nice and good service. The restaurants nearby where some of them very good ( Estancia we can highly recommend) and some of them ok ( like the one closest to the apartment Chiringuito Caprichio) . We will definately come back another day 😀

Lovely location and perfect views. Property is very spacious and comfortable. The pool is fantastic and just outside the door. The pool bar staff are lovely and helpful. No noise from the bar at night. Nice to walk along the broad walk to multiple bars and restaurants. We would highly recommend ‘Alberts Bar & Grill’ at Puerto de Cabopino and we have left their card on the notice board in kitchen. Perfect communication with Alan and Anna throughout, thank you 😁 We would highly recommend this property and hope to go back ❤️

Lovely apartment, photos don't do it justice.Fantastic location opposite the pool and had a great sea view. Several bars and restaurants along the boardwalk and a ten minute walk into town where there are are more bars and restaurants.

Myself and 2 friends had a wonderful time at this apartment. The view is amazing and the apartment had everything we needed. Lovely little garden next to pool. Unfortunately, the bottom pool and bar were not open when we were there (20/4 to 27/4), however, we soon found the Royal Beach Pirata, which was just a few minutes walk along the promenade, where we went every day. Great food, cocktails and staff plus we hired comfortable loungers for 7 euros each and stayed there from midday to 7pm most days. The weather was perfect and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If there is one down side to the location, it is that you have to cross an overhead bridge to get to the supermarket and bars behind the complex. The road is very busy and crossing the bridge didn't suit one of our group. However, that said, you cannot hear the road noise at all from the apartment. We would stay again. Thank you Alan and Antonette :) Tip: place an order with Mercadona online and have all your groceries delivered to the complex.

The apartment is just perfect,comfortable, clean and well-looked after. The beds are the best thing - normally in other apartments we stayed in they were worn out,so we were pleased to discover the mattresses here are extremely comfortable. The garden overlooking the sea gets the direct sun without a break from early morning till afternoon,so it just couldn't be better for our winter holidays. Even though we encountered a problem during our stay, the owner did all he could to make sure that it doesn't spoil our holidays -an honorable person which is rare nowadays. The lady from the agency was also very nice and helpful. All in all,we will be back. Anna

The apartment was really spacious, well laid out and equipped. The complex is safe, frontline with access to the boardwalk. We loved walking in each direction either for restaurants or to try out the various beaches. It was nice having the pool bar close. It was busy but never noisy and closed at about 8pm. We were really grateful that we were able to arrange a late check-out. We would given 5 stars but for the fact that, disappointingly, half of our 2 week stay at the apartment was accompanied by extremely noisy renovations next door then at the side of the apartment. We were woken early by both and it continued all day. The owner did notify us about the outside work but it had already started. The notification was confusing as it referred to the weekend but that the work started today (Monday). If we had known in advance, we would have planned our days differently.

We visited this apartment with my parents and our 2 boys aged 8 & 11. It was perfect for us. The apartment was a great space for the 6 of us with everything we needed. The position of the apartment is amazing, right next to the pool and bar (which is not noisy) and only a minute walk to the beach/boardwalk. The beach is sandy but quite rocky to get in to the sea. Lovely restaurants near by and the great supermarket across the big road at the back of the complex. Dora was amazing on our last day and helped us out so we didn’t have to spend the whole day at the airport. Thank you

We had a fantastic week and would highly recommend this apartment. Initial booking and communication prior to our arrival was great with all our questions answered promptly, the apartment was easy to find around 35/40 mins drive from the airport. Whilst at the airport we messaged to say we had arrived and when we got to the complex we where met and shown around the apartment. The apartment has everything you need, 3 big bedrooms , a fully equipped kitchen and utility type room, 2 bathrooms, air conditioning and a fantastic view to the pool area and sea. It is in an ideal position, ground floor with a nice outside area and very easy access to the pool area and boardwalk / beach. Our kids loved it ! The poolside bar is open all day and offers refreshments / drinks plus there are a few nice places to eat within a few mins walk. Ther is also a big supermarket within walking distance to stock up and a Lidl within a 5 min drive. The communication throughout our stay was first class and we will definitely stay here again, many thanks

The property had first-class air conditioning in each room, and an hour in the evening kept the place cool all night. The 5g wifi kept the kids happy in the evenings, and the pool bar and pool are just 10 steps away. The uninterrupted sea views were beautiful and we will definitely be back.

Simply Lovely! The pictures of this complex are fantastic but the reality is even better. The beach is close enough to be able to hear the waves and the sea view is just awesome. The location was great we made several trips to both Marbella and fueregarola both are which a short drive away and offer everything you could want in terms of beaches, shopping and eating out. Just outside the complex there's a small restaurant with spectacular sea views and a fantastic menu. The apartment itself was fully equipped with everything we needed or could have needed i think, was clean and uncluttered and easy to maintain yet still managed to feel homely and comfortable, very well thought out clearly! something the we didn't see in the pictures on this site is the secure fence surrounding the pool area preventing young children getting access to it without an adult, this is locked with the same key you use to gain access in and out of the complex itself. As parents a pool is a must have but we often worry about safety especially when abroad and you don't have the same level of life guards you might expect in a UK leisure centre. Inside the complex was very quiet and friendly, I expect it gets much busier in high season but there seemed to be ample room both around the pool and on the beach for sun bathing etc. We've never been back to the same place twice as we like to explore a new place each time but might even make the exception for mi capricho! We would strongly recommend this place for both the complex, the apartment and the area. Thanks you for a lovely Holiday!! I'd also like to add that the company who manage this for the owner are very professional and helpful, even helping us find the place on arrival when we got a little lost (our sat nav let us down).

Just returned from an amazing family holiday at Mi Capricho. The apartment was exactly as it was described on the web site. The views from the garden were stunning and our three young children loved the pool, the play area, the football pitch and of course Tom who ran the pool side bar. Tom was full of information and tips. Our twins are only 4 yrs old & the complex is so safe, quiet & child friendly we could relax & enjoy our holiday too. All in all, a top class location, one which we hope to return to many times.

We usually stay in a villa so were unsure what to expect with an apartment, but what a lovely surprise it was. It was exactly as described, the apartment was exceptionally clean and comfortable and the complex is beautifully maintained. The shops really are just a few minutes walk away and there was a lovely beach bar just a short stroll up the beach. The pool was amazing, it was really quiet which was a pleasant surprise (especially as we are used to having a pool to ourselves!) The pool bar was a big hit too! The view from the lounge and master bedroom are fantastic overlooking the pool, palm trees and the sea. The lounge was spacious with a lovely comfortable sofa and it was great to have some English channels on the TV. The bathrooms are large and clean and the bedrooms had fans as well as air conditioning. We really could not fault this apartment and look forward to returning again. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday then you can't beat this apartment. I can't recommend it highly enough.

First impressions did not disappoint - it was great to see the apartment and the grounds were as lovely as the photographs on the website. A bonus for us was that the location was better than we thought. We were within a short walk of good supermarkets, bars and restaurants. We didnt hire a car on this holiday but the bus service to La Cala (for the market), Fuengirola, Marbella, etc, was about every half hour and the stops were just outside the complex. The apartment was so well equiped it was like a home away from home. Everything you could possibly need was there and it was very comfortable. It was right on the beach which was so handy for our children and the pool was lovely. It was so handy to have our own private garden that we could sit in while our kids had their nap and just enjoy the lovely weather and beautiful views. This complex and the apartment are clearly well maintained. The booking process was easy and Alan the owner was very helpful and quick to respond to any of our questions. We took a taxi from the airport and had really clear directions from the owner so we were at ease on the way. The people that met us there were friendly and helpful and it was great to know we could contact them at any time if we needed to. There was a girl playing games in Spainish and English with all the children for a few hours every day. Our children were too little on this occassion to avail of this but the feedback we heard from other parentst was great. They were delighted to have all the nationalities mixing and their kids even learnt some spanish on their holidays! This was organised complimentary by the complex so there was no cost to the holiday makers. We were very impressed. All in all, this was a great holiday and we'll definitely be back.

This apartment is a great place to stay for a family. It's location is perfect and convenient for shops and restaurants. It is safe and the grounds of the apartments are beautiful and so well maintained. We went on holidays for two very young children - 1yr & 3yrs and it was perfect for them. It was so easy to access the pool area from the apartment which meant you didn't have to pack absolutely everything with you each time you went for a swim. The apartment itself is very clean and each room a good size. There was a DVD for the kids which was invaluable. The apartment has it's own sun chairs which was very handy. The owner of the apartment was very helpful and was easy to contact if we had any queries. All in all a really great place to stay.

This is our second year at Mi Capricho, staying for four weeks at a time. We are well travelled and have visited many places in Europe, however, we have never found such beautiful surroundings as this. The views are amazing and very tranquil. The residents and staff are very friendly and helpful. The added bonus was the pool bar, which was very welcoming. The apartment was spacious and confortable. There are shops and restaurants within walking distance. Calahonda is a ideal position if you want to explore the area, with many attractions for all ages. We look forward very much to our next visit.

We were pleasantly surprised by the size and finishings in the apartment. There was plenty of space and the location is perfect. Just outside of your back door is the large pool pictured here with the ocean in the background. Our only complaint has nothing to do with the apartment, but there were loads of flies outdoors. Other than that, it was the perfect beach vacation spot.
