Carla Apartment - Very large and panoramic - Historical center of Lucca

We had a great stay in this spacious, clean apartment. Great location across from the wall, convenient for walking/biking or just people watching from the living room. The kitchen was well stocked though we took advantage of the numerous restaurants within walking distance. Private parking in the gated parking lot was a plus. Carla was very responsive to all communication and is genuinely a nice lady. Would love to stay here again if fortunate enough to be in Lucca.

We were met by Carla at the apartment and she kindly explained in Italian and a little English (with the help of Google translate) how things worked. There were written instructions in English too. The apartment is very well positioned just inside the city wall. It’s easy to get your bearings and to walk around the city to see the sights. We also did a day trip to Pisa using the train. Very easy (recommend getting off at Pisa San Rossore station rather than Centrale as it’s nearer to the Tower etc). The apartment was really well appointed with everything that you could need if you wanted to self cater but equally there are lots of restaurants nearby too. We tried Santi Peccanti restaurant on our last night and would highly recommend it as a treat.

We had a great time at Carla's place in Lucca. The property is located just inside the old city walls of Lucca and was perfect for our family of 5. The property included secure parking and the use of 3 bicycles, which we enjoyed very much. There was air conditioning in the apartment, except in one of the bedrooms, where a fan was provided. The kitchen was very well stocked which allowed us to prepare some of our own meals. Overall, we would highly recommend this property. Thank you Carla!

This place was perfect for our family of 6 with three spacious bedrooms, a well appointed kitchen, and two nice bathrooms with laundry. The place was clean and comfortable, had parking and three bicycles we could use to explore Lucca. Carla was the nicest host!

This is a beautiful apartment in a great location. It’s in a quieter, residential street but so close to all the main sights in Lucca - and you can walk everywhere. It was lovely being right at the tree-lined city wall and watching all the people walking, jogging and cycling by. We cycled around ourselves and had a great time. The apartment is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need - and more! It was spotlessly clean and it really felt like a home rather than a rental. Carla is a lovely host and extremely helpful and considerate. The apartment even had a parking space, which I had not realised when I booked it. It made parking very easy as I initially parked at a meter outside then moved the car to the private space once we checked in. There is a Conrad supermarket a few minutes walk away and the most delightful square (Piazza San Francesco) with a great cafe for morning coffees and pastries, right in front of the church. There was also an excellent pizzeria (very popular with the locals) called Marameo on the same square which had an outside, inside and garden area to choose from. It was so good we ate there two nights in a row!!! This is only a few minutes walk from the apartment. From piazza San Francesco it is an easy walk to Piazza Amfiteatro and the main streets of Lucca with all the shops and restaurants. My only regret is that we did not stay long enough. Carla was very easy to work and the apartment was immaculate. It had all the things you need for an enjoyable stay. Lucca is an absolutely gorgeous town with train service to Florence or Pisa multiple times daily-

Brilliant experience staying in Carla’s flat for a week. The house had everything you could think of and was like being at home! Can’t wait to return !!

We stayed at Carla’s apartment for 6 weeks and were extremely pleased with everything, the location, communication , size of the apartment. Carla was always available whenever we needed her. There was endless supply of linens and towels. We enjoyed greatly sitting on the terrace overlooking the wall Highly recommend.
