Islanders Inn - Coron

Whilst the place is in a great location, I did not have a great stay. Mediocre stay to say the least. First day I had to argue to have my breakfast which was included then separately for the coffee. The one person on shift said it was not available. I offered to give me just the instant coffee they gave in the room and she suggested I go back to my room and get it. The view is the only thing ai enjoyed there. At least they had a smart a TV to spend the late evening as not much to do in the evening. The towel was shocking, ants in the room, the place is not even lit from the outside so it is easy to miss. I was the only guest so not much trouble so you think. Staff is always on their phones so not even time to say hello or good bye to their only paying customers. The staff on the afternoon shift was a bit nicer but the one who was in the morning not so much. I work in hotels so I fully understand what they have to do but this was absolutely shocking. Stayed there only as the other places were full. My room was never made up, coffee or water never refilled. I had two saucers, one cup, no spoons, 3 sachets of coffee and 1 coffee mate. No attention to details. Linen was slightly dirty. Not sure how they achieved such a high rating on Agoda. Sent a complaint but haven’t heard back anything just yet. Would I recommend? No. Compared to the prices I paid elsewhere for a bed in a hostel, it was not worth it. You better off staying in a hostel.

Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. The door was defective and did not function properly. The shower was terrible—the water pressure was so weak that it felt like urinating had a stronger flow than the shower itself. The air conditioning was also ineffective. We had to leave it running all day, but the room still never got cold enough to be comfortable. Because of these issues, I felt so uncomfortable that I decided to transfer to another hotel on our second night. It was frustrating to experience these problems during our stay, and I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and addresses these issues to improve the experience for future guests.

If youre looking for a place that is near in everything like food, cafe, mt tapyas, church. I highly want you to choose this one, ive stayed here for 4 days and i was able to go around the town in 1 day without worrying where to eat nor what time to eat. There are a lot of shop still open before 12am.

We stayed here five nights, apart from some weird odours in the reception/staircase area, the stay was fine. We expected the room and bed to be larger but photos are often deceiving and we managed fine anyway. Window type AC, so expect some sounds from that and the street below throughout the night. They helped us book tours short notice which was a nice bonus and you’re a five minute walk away from the meeting point of the tours anyway so added bonus. Not sure if we would book again but overall fine stay.
