Ruby 'n Emerald studio's

Large light and airy room with great views from the many windows. Comfortable bed. Spacious bedroom / living area. Kettle to make hot drinks - we bring our own coffee and Cafetiere. Spacious bathroom with good shower. Apartment not luxurious but comfortable and welcoming. Location is great off the bottom of the old town. Restaurant Ovelos below is our favourite in Rethymon.

There is limited space for clothing. The layout of the room dictates that there is no space for a wardrobe - many windows. Having said that the functionality could be improved with the addition of a few hooks.

Ruby and Emerald Studios are a really great base for exploring Rethymnon. From booking to checking-in, Anton, Maria and Sofia kept me well informed of all details relating to my stay. The Emerald Room was basic, as would be expected for a studio apartment, but it was very clean and well presented, has a huge comfortable bed and has its own spacious private bathroom. It is very well situated within easy walking distance of the throng of the Old Town, but being just far enough on the outskirts to enjoy a more slow and peaceful holiday experience. The rooms are above the accompanying Taverna Ovelos, so there is the associated noise from this popular eating venue below, but I found this acceptable and it did not cause me much disturbance. I would recommend trying the food in the Taverna, really good choices at reasonable prices. Particular thank you to Panos who greeted me on arrival and was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. It was as I expected. If you require total peace and quiet in the late evening, then do consider that the rooms are above a popular working Taverna that is open up until midnight. The noise is not excessive but neither is there complete silence up until closing time.
