Woolacombe Breaks - ‘Sea La Vie’

The accommodation was in a very convenient location, gaining access was very easy and it contained everything that was necessary for a stay of a few days. The ceiling fans were a real bonus as the weather got very hot. It is a venue I would recommend and will use again.

It isn't really a case of not liking it but it would have been nice to have a bit of grass enclosed for the dogs. The little field area at the back is not available but that said the footpaths were very conveniently located and provided nice shady walks for the dogs. I couldn't get the wifi to work, the network did not seem to be available. But not the end of the world.

Like most airb&b Heating unfathomable 😁 Just couldn't get it to work! Came prepared with a ceramic heater!👍 Think heating controlled by a app So like a good boy scout be prepared 😂

Great location &facilities

Took a while to warm up on our arrival. ( very minor point).

Firstly, I would like to say that the lady looking after the property was incredibly accommodating, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, and we really appreciated the thoughtful amenities she had provided. She clearly went the extra mile, and we are very grateful for her efforts.

Unfortunately, despite this, there were a number of significant issues with the property and facilities which meant our holiday was very different from what had been advertised and what we had specifically booked. We chose this particular property because it appeared to offer everything we were looking for in a relaxing break. In particular, we were looking for: - An enclosed garden where our dog could safely run around and go to the toilet. - A usable barbecue so we could prepare quick and easy evening meals. - An on-site pub where we could enjoy a drink and occasional meal without needing to travel. - A charming chalet-style property as shown in the photographs. Sadly, the reality did not match the listing. The property itself had a noticeable smell of damp and mildew, and although it was very clean, it appeared much more run down on the outside than the photographs suggested. We bought candles, room spray and cleaned through to eliminate the smell. The parking area was heavily overgrown with weeds, making it difficult and potentially unsafe to get in and out of the car, particularly with our dog, whose paws could easily have been injured. One of the biggest disappointments was discovering that the on-site pub was closed and undergoing construction work. As a result, not only did we lose one of the main facilities that influenced our booking, but we also had to contend with the noise from the construction work throughout our stay, which made it far less relaxing than we had hoped. Similarly, the barbecue advertised was unusable, meaning we had no choice but to cook every evening. With the pub unavailable as well, our dining options became much more limited than we had expected. We were also disappointed that the enclosed decking outdoor area was not suitable for our dog, and we were informed that the adjacent garden could not be used as it did not form part of the property's land.
