The location was beautiful and relaxing. The practicality of being there didn’t feel like a relaxing getaway.

I liked the layout of the property and how it looked into the trees.

We had a lot of problems with the electrics. Meaning we couldn’t eat the food we planned to make at the property or have showers. This also meant it was cold at night as we relied on the heater. As it no longer has a log burner. I think the booking should maybe give a heads up about power not being great as we could’ve packed a camping gas stove.

We wanted a cabin in the woods, boy did we get a cabin in the woods! Amazing location, the set-up was perfect with plenty of space between the cabins so perfectly quiet and peaceful, only the stream and the owls making a noise. Accommodation very clean, bed super comfy. Hot tub was amazing, sat in there for hours watching the stars in complete darkness, relaxation on another level. Very pet friendly too, our dogs loved snuffling round the woods around our cabin (sheep around but ok for us as ours are used to livestock). 10 minutes from Barmouth by car which has a gorgeous beach and lots of cute little shops and good places to eat. Everything we expected and more 🥰. We will definitely be back. The only thing extra we would have liked was a chair or two in the cabin/on the decking but easily solved if you bring camping chairs.

Lovely peaceful hideaway but communication needs to be improved

Hot tub , total location & peaceful atmosphere

We were sent instruction for a log burning hot tub & asked the host a few times could it be pre warmed but they didn’t reply Upon arrival it was an electric hot tub as well as electric sockets at property & micro etc & fridge. Where as we were again told upon booking by message from host there are no electric sockets so bring water & Ice for fridge. It was a benefit but it meant we had prepared in a different way which seemed wasteful then Couldn’t use fire pit either as we wernt told to bring anything for this as logs were provided but there were no fire starters/matches etc etc

nice and relaxing felt very cozy

cozy little place very nice area and very quiet the hot tub was nice and warm and easy to get into it was also very clean. the bed was very comfy and had a good sleep overall enjoyed the stay.

booking.com does need an update the hot tub is electric. other than that everything wad fine. :)

Great place to stay

Everything, hot tub was excellent, setting was beautiful. It was incredibly peaceful and great value for money. I cannot emphasise enough how much we liked it and immediately sought to book again but could not get a date that suited us.

Nothing really but if we're to be picky the tap was wobbly and the sink plug in the bathroom was stuck therefore could not be used.

Enjoyable but didn’t get to use the main reason we came

The cabin itself was lovely and the location is beautiful

We paid extra for the hot tub to be heated before we got there, it had only been put on an hour before we arrived despite letting them know four hours before and it supposedly takes three hours to reach full temp. We kept it topped up as per the instructions but even by 8pm it was still freezing at the bottom, we only managed to spend 15 mins tops in there if we stayed at the top of the water. This was the main reason we came here and were disappointed that we didn’t get to use it properly and having paid £20 extra to have it ready when we came. The hot water also didn’t work in the shower. We notified the owner who couldn’t get hold of maintenance to fix it. An alternative cabin was given to use the shower but after being freezing from trying to use the hot tub a 800 yard walk in the cold wasn’t ideal .

Perfect night away to chill

Perfect seclusion for a night away with my boyfriend Paid for the pre light on the hot tub which was well worth it considering how cold it was. A little top up when we arrived and an hour later was nice and toasty in the tub. Slept like a baby 🥰

Was perfect in every way There are 2 cabins in this area of the site, Treetops and Woodland Both are private but Woodlands is the more secluded and private cabin

Great location but needs more attention to detail

Very quiet and tranquil. Beautiful setting

Wasn’t the cleanest. Dirty used eye lashes and kitchen utensils not cleaned properly from previous guests. Very cold in the night as windows didn’t close properly. Bathroom door didn’t close either was warped.

This is a great stay if you want some privacy and getting back to nature, I would just go in summer.

We loved how peaceful and quiet it was. We liked that there was no internet so we could spend everyday talking, but it would have been good to know there was no internet before we got there. It looks beautiful with the fairy lights outside over the hot tub and was cute and cozy for us all :D If we go back we would definitely go back in the summer months as the winter was just too cold. It was nice to get back to nature and just enjoy time just us two and the dog, just make sure you take activities with you for the evening, we took games and paintings.

There were not plug sockets to charge our phones, which although we didn't need them in the cabin, when we went to put something in the satnav or play music we couldn't because they had no charge. There was no fridge to keep anything cold, there was a cool box, however, because we needed the fire on all the time the ice melted making it all wet. There was no hot water, which didn't matter for making drinks because you had to take your own water, but for the shower it was freezing! The cooker was one camping stove which means we weren't able to cook multiple things at a time, leaving part of our dinner cold. This was a really beautiful place to stay but it is really for people who love being outdoors and exploring. I like doing a bit of both but I am definitely more of a person who doesn't want to cook every night and wants a relaxing stay. My partner is opposite and loves doing everything and being outdoors and camping, which is what it was like.

Incredible Stay with Fantastic Hot Tub!

The location was just perfect, you felt like you were in the middle of nowhere and yet it was only a short drive back to the main roads. The cabin was beautiful, very cosy and cleaned to a high standard with all towels, bed linen and washing up supplies provided. My partner installs log burners and was skeptical of the little burner in the cabin, but even he was made to eat his words when within 20 minutes the cabin was super toasty. We went here at the start of November and we weren't cold once! The hot tub was really easy to use and heated up to temperature after a couple of hours a few stirs, it was just beautiful to sit and star gaze at night through the trees, listening to the owls. The information and videos sent before hand via whatsapp were really helpful and fully prepared us for our visit. We would 100% come back here and in fact we're already looking to book again for the same time next year!

A cozy off-grid stay.

We really enjoyed the peaceful location, hot tub & wood fire. Recommended if you are looking to switch off from tech & relax. The hot tub took about 2.5 hours to fully heat, then stayed cozy all evening. (You'll need bottled water as there's no drinking water at the cabin.)

Gem of a place!

The hot tub was fabulous! Once you get the hang of it (patience is key) it’s like a sauna/bath! This place really is a gem of a place, we booked it as we missed the outdoor life after travelling Australia, it’s basic but has everything you need to cook, sleep and relax in nature! Also the instructions sent before your arrival were well detailed and explain everything clearly! Great stay, we will be back!

The bathroom had quite a bad damp smell, it was fine but on night 3 the smell was quite strong.

Fabulously secluded spot for off grid adventurers

Amazing location. Great facilities, secluded and quirky.

Couldn’t figure out how to turn on outdoor lights, no sockets for chargers or cool box/fridge etc which would of been really useful as so remote.

Lovely stay! Great hot tub :)

Lovely location, off grid! Just what we needed for some headspace away from daily life. We went in torrential rain but it was so lovely and cosy! Hot tub took a while for us to heat up, followed the video instructions to a tee however it took 5 hours for us to get it warmer than Luke warm - was great when we got it going in the end! Solar lights inside were a great addition :)

The pillows were super soft, would have been nice to have one firm, one soft to suit everyone :) apart from that everything was wonderful!

Cosy and quiet stay surrounded by nature

It was very cosy and cute and the surroundings were beautiful. The shower was nice and hot and the cabin had everything we needed. The bed was very comfy. The hot tub was a lot of fun. We received a lot of info upfront, including good directions and instructions.

The bathroom is a little mouldy. There’s no signal whatsoever so if there was a problem, we wouldn’t have been able to report it, as no one came round to check on us.

Cabin in the woods

A perfect, little cabin set in its own little patch of a quiet woods at the foot of the Rhinogydd range. Not too crammed in amongst other accomodation and the hot tub was fantastic. And still hot in the morning. Will definitely go back.

The cabin is simple, but clean and tidy. A relaxing place to be with a dog in tow. Take extra tea bags as advised and be ready for a slightly bumpy track to get in. But it's very much worth it.

Relaxing stay, back to nature

Lots of information sent by host well in advance, keys left on table inside. Accommodation was lovely and quirky, took some time for us to heat the hot tub mainly due to battling the elements. Host’s instructions on how to light log burner were clear and precise. Bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Cabin was starting to look a bit run down, hot tub firebox was very badly distorted meaning it just burnt the wood away really quickly as it was getting to much oxygen resulting in all the wood being used up and the water only being luke warm. There was no signage to find the place and no instructions were given for finding the place or checking in.

how secluded it was very tranquil, no internet, no electricity, able to forget hussle of everyday day life but just a 20 minute drive to Barmouth beach, waking up to the sounds of birds and sheep, hot tub was amazing great added extra, and amazing what you can cook in one pan, when you put your mind to it !
