The Green Dragon Inn

Very welcoming on a very hot day. They were busy with many motorcyclists staying here for the ABR festival at Ragley Hall all looking to eat. It was a very hot day but the landlord / chef managed to produce several dozen good meals despite the heatwave. Whilst his - if I’m honest very elderly - mother / landlady (?) managed the bar and waitressing to keep a dozen or more bikers fed and watered as well as her regulars, all with a smile. The landlord was used to motorcyclists and the property offers reasonably secure off road parking.

Nothing disliked although the rooms were basic and in a separate annex - but they matched the price. Fans would have been appreciated in the rooms perhaps? The whole place seemed tired and in need of a refresh but that would be a struggle given the cost of running hospitality places and properties like this in the current environment.

Peter (the owner) did everything to make the stay comfortable in spite of a mini heatwave. The food was also good. I would recommend this property and look forward to staying again.

Pub was in a great location in a lovely village. The food at the pub was very good, The room we stayed in was basic but big and very clean.

My only complaint was that the cold water in the shower was not working which meant the shower was so hot you couldn't used it
