About this house rental
Sailboat Pointe offers guests incredible views, luxurious accommodations and amenities to keep everyone in the family entertained. The main level has an open concept living room, kitchen and dining--all of which have those million dollar views of Pickwick Lake. The main level bedroom suite has its own entrance to the upper deck, a spa-like bathroom with double vanities and a jacuzzi tub, and stunning views to wake up to in the morning. The cook in the family will find a very well stocked kitchen and the adjacent dining room, which overlooks the private dock, will be a great place for families to gather at mealtime. A laundry room and powder room round out the main level.
Ascending the staircase to the upper level, you will find three spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms, as well as an additional flex room with a full size sleeper sofa. Enjoy some quiet time in the cozy reading nook with a selection of books for children and adults.
The terrace level of the home has one bedroom suite as well as a spacious entertainment room with a pool table, comfortable media space with a cozy leather sectional sofa, a selection of games and a second kitchen and bar space open to the game room.
Stepping out from the entertainment room, the screened porch will be a great place to enjoy your morning cup of coffee or gather after dinner to enjoy the gas fire pit--all while soaking in those gorgeous lake views!
This home has multiple decks--one on the main level of the home, a second deck on the terrace level and another lakeside deck near the dock with a fire pit and fabulous rockers to relax and take in those lake views.
Access to the lakeside deck and your own private dock is easy with an electric tram that accommodates four people. Bring your own boat or rent one from one of the nearby marinas to take advantage of your own private dock. Use one of the provided kayaks to explore the cove right out from the dock. Let the kids swim right off the dock. Take the boat out to do some tubing, explore beautiful Pickwick Lake (don't miss the waterfall!) or enjoy a stunning sunset cruise. Rent some jet skis to thrill the adrenaline junkies in the family. The choice is yours!
If the lake isn't enough to keep your family busy, there are plenty of nearby attractions. The Outpost--a Pickwick landmark--is a short drive from the house. Pickwick Landing State Park is accessible by boat (a short jaunt right across the lake) or by automobile. History buffs will enjoy touring Shiloh National Civil War battlefield about 30 minutes from the house. Use the fabulous kitchen to prepare some great meals or enjoy one of the numerous local restaurants not far from the house.

Our host, Chris, was great and always responded as quickly as he could. The home is just like the photos show and very well stocked with kitchen items and beach towels. And the view is amazing. There were only three downsides. My family thought a couple of the beds were too hard and it takes quite a few minutes from the main road on very curvy roads to get to the house. Also we lost power for a couple of hours due to a storm and the gate to the neighborhood couldn’t be opened until it came back on. So our cars were basically stuck where they were. Other than that, our family had a great time and the kids spent most of their time in the game room downstairs playing pool and board games while the adults had plenty of space upstairs to gather together.

Host was great at responding and provided information. The only communication issue we had was not being provided gate code ahead of time but was solved. The poor house has been very used and needs repairs and cleaning. Dock is very hot without a covering, be careful of burning and the boards and cleats are popping up. This caused issues with docking bock securely. A sign of warning regarding keeping your arms inside lift would have been helpful lol. There is one tree it goes by that will cause the loss of an arm if not careful. Property needs a broom to help clear webs/bugs as needed, bring your own broom. It’s wooded, so prepare for spiders and you will be ok. Lights at bottom dock and deck are not working. Pool table needs major TLC. Just overused and not maintained properly. Piano on site was in great working order. Plenty of chairs on decks. Plenty of parking, huge plus! Great air conditioning!! HUGE for summer. No firework view from house for July, trolly out to see them at edge of cove. No garage access, it’s locked for owners. Kayaks in good working order. Lots of bathrooms but bring extra toilet paper. TONS of beach towels, no need to bring towels. Great Working washed and dryer. Bed comfort 6 out of 10. Mold in master shower unfortunately. And just FYI for bookers: Second king room doesn’t have attached bathroom. Attached bathrooms belong to a full size bed downstairs and queen upstairs.
