We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were so welcoming and did everything to make our stay an enjoyable one.

Beautiful place in a beautiful setting

Beautiful place in a beautiful setting. We loved staying here! The owners are so welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. There is a shuttle into the centre but we walked all the time as it was a beautiful walk and gave us a feel for local life. It is about a 15 min walk but not steep. There are a couple of restaurants closer by also. Everything was clean and comfortable. We’d love to stay again.

It really could not have been better

Comfortable, characterful, good quality furnishings, lovely home cooked food. Best of all the hotel team were just lovely.

The property was superb. It was quite far up the hill from town but we loved the walk down into town which was steep and narrow roads. It was a pleasure for us but maybe not for all abilities. The hotel shuttle bus was a great asset for night times and for people who don’t like the walk. We occupied the suite in Room 6 and it had an amazing terrace and lovely indoor spaces. We would Definately stay again.

Beautiful Famuily Owned Hotel

The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the location is beautiful. You really feel taken care of at the hotel. The setting is beautiful and even though it feels like you are nestled intu the mountains there are actually several sites and restaurants within walking distance. I would come again just for the breakfast. A beautiful selection of local cheeses along with all the other breakfast staples.

A revelation discovering this hidden gem

Beautifully kept old property overlooking the wonderful Bergamot countryside. The location is lovely just a short walk to the città alta. There are Lao some restaurants about a 10 minute walk away. The rooms were exceptionally spacious and comfortable and had lovely views. Breakfast was simple but lovely with a cold buffet and the option of eggs and bacon. The owners were so warm and friendly.

Staying at La Valletta Relais was an unforgettable experience. The peaceful surroundings, the breathtaking views, and the cozy atmosphere made us feel truly relaxed. What stood out the most was the warmth and kindness of the staff – we felt genuinely cared for, almost like visiting friends. Waking up to such delicious breakfasts on the terrace was the perfect start to each day. We left with beautiful memories and a strong desire to return soon!

A perfect stay with everything we needed

This hotel is extremely cosy and aqtmospheric. Everything is well-organized. The room was beautiful, the views from the terrace are wonderful. The hotel is situated on the hill, but there is a service by hotel to bring the clients to Bergamo and back to hotel. We spent the evening with drinks on the terrace, as the hotel has a small bar where it is possible to buy drinks. The breakfast also was very delicious. I felt very welcome and happy.

Excellent Stay

Friendly and helpful staff who spoke good English. Hotel was in an excellent location being only a 15 minute walk into Bergamo and surrounded by beautiful countryside. Rooms were both clean and spacious with lots of character. Member of staff recommended a restaurant nearby which was very good and reasonably priced.

Little difficult to drive to - windy and sometimes narrow country roads but wouldn't put us off coming again.

We've travelled extensively in Italy over the years and this was one of the most memorable stays.

Everything. Prior to arrival, we were advised of a road closure and given alternative instructions. On our early arrival, we were met by the owner, Mario, who very welcoming and helpful. Room made ready at short notice. Breakfasts were exceptional, advice regarding places to eat, where to go and what to do was valuable and the entire experience was outstanding. Mario, Graciella and Giacomo are delightful hosts for whom nothing is a problem.

Good stay, good hosts, an excellent breakfast and within a walking distance from the attractions.

Breakfast was compact but excellent, high quality and enough variance for a longer stay. Location is great if you want to walk to the Citta Alta, but want to sleep in quiet and enjoy nature. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Some small things like no ventilation in toilet, so room was a little humid after taking a shower, but nothing that opening a window wont fix.

Great stay just a short walk from old town Bergamo. Stunning

The hotel was lovely and the surrounding area was great. We had a lovely drink or two on the terrace. So peaceful. Parking for the car was great too. Breakfast was wonderful but unfortunately we had to get away early in the morning for our flight. We will be back

It would have been great if there was an evening food option available in the evening rather than walking down to the centre again.

This family run hotel is in an idyllic setting, with views of the valley below and the Appennine mountains. Mario and his family were the perfect hosts. We were able to make the most of our short stay as Mario was able to offer a shuttle service to the Citta Alta only 5 minutes away. The old town is breath-taking, not to be missed. Mario also provided transport to and from Orlo Al Serio airport. The buffet breakfast was tasty and plentiful, and a cooked breakfast of your choice was also on offer. Breakfast was served in a room surrounded by large windows overlooking the scenic valley below. Our room was spacious, quiet, and also had views over the valley. Overall, this was the perfect stay and only wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be returning.

Highly recommend this fantastic villa.

We adored staying in this Italian villa which was a 10 minute walk from the old walled city of Bergamo. Our room was very comfortable, breakfasts were delicious and the staff so friendly and helpful.

Nothing. Previous reviews commented about the narrow road and challenges driving on it. We had absolutely no problem with it!
