About this cottage rental
Situated at the back of the property behind an Edwardian duplex in a prime Oakland location, this charming cottage offers a high degree of privacy and is within walking distance to local hospitals, shops, and restaurants on Piedmont Avenue and Temescal. It's also close to the MacArthur BART station, which provides a quick 17-minute ride to downtown San Francisco.
The entrance is on street level, you will walk into the living room which features:
- Chair by the door so you can put on your shoes before going outside
- Hooks & a shelf - for convenient key storage
- 50" smart TV
- A couch to kick back & relax
From the living room, walk up the 2 steps into the fully stocked kitchen featuring a dining table for 4.
Off of the kitchen is the bedroom with a queen-size bed and a pull-out twin-size trundle bed, along with a door that leads to the deck with an outdoor dining area and a hammock to relax.
The bathroom is on the other side of the kitchen and has a tub, shower, vanity, and toilet. We have stocked the bathroom with shampoo, conditioner, body wash and toilet paper.
The 2nd bedroom is off of the living room and features a comfortable queen-size bed.
The 3rd bedroom includes a spacious closet, two large windows that fill the room with natural light, and a comfortable queen-size bed.
On the deck, there is a hammock and a table with 4 chairs for an additional dining option and a nice place to enjoy the amazing Oakland weather.

Riza and Miguel have created a comfortable and well appointed cottage that has everything you’ll need for a pleasant stay. The entire unit was very clean and has many amenities. Beds were comfortable and there were extra pillows, linen, and towels for the bathroom. Kitchen was well appointed and we cooked several meals during our time there. Television was great and WiFi signal and speed allowed me to work remotely without a hitch. The washer and dryer were easy to access in the main building and the off street parking was secure and very convenient. The cottage is near some major traffic corridors but is surprisingly quiet due to excellent sound proofing. It is a short walk to MacArthur BART station and many restaurants and shops along Telegraph Blvd. Piedmont Blvd is also nearby with excellent restaurants and unique stores for shopping. Miguel was very accommodating and helpful during our stay.

We were in West Oakland for a few days to get my adult daughter settled into her new apartment and job. This space was just what we needed as a place to rest and relax in between work, and we had everything we needed to cook light meals and make coffee. It was clean and the beds were comfy. The designated parking did not work for my Ford Flex, but street parking was simple enough. A smaller vehicle would work though. It was an easy drive to get everywhere we needed to be.
