The gite is incredibly photogenic, in a quiet corner of the countryside, about 15 mins drive from the beach. The inaccuracy of the listing was our main issue - there is no washer or dryer, as listed, and the host (whilst lovely) did want to charge us extra for the towels and bedding (listed as included). And a €400 deposit. At the end of a two week long road trip, we had specifically booked because the washer and drier. The gite also lacked anywhere to hang clothes (a three drawer unit was it for the main room) There was also no toaster (as listed) and the air con was only in the conservatory area. The gite was clean - we did have an ant issue (solved by putting all food in the fridge), and some of the crockery and cutlery needed a wash before use. Overall we enjoyed our stay and I think many of the issues we had were as a result of the language barrier and the property being listed on multiple rental sites, all with different extras.
