About this villa rental
•The compound is called VILLA VERDE and consists of:
- the Main Villa with Master Bedroom with large en-suite bathroom, Twin Bedroom with adjoining second bathroom. Spacious living, dining area with panoramic views over the pool and ocean, separate kitchen. It can sleep up to four people.
-Optionally, (additionally, available to the guests of the main villa only and subject to extra charge - (PLEASE ASK THE OWNER BUT THE EXTRA CHARGE IS AROUND 100,- EURO/DAY EXTRA - DEPENDS HOW MANY PEOPLE ETC.) there is an adjoining cottage with spacious bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette that can be rented providing additional comfort to the guest of the main villa, and sleeps up to two more people. It is available for rent just for the party renting main villa but at extra cost - please inquire.

*Villa Verde in Martinhal Beach is lovingly designed and cared for by its owners to provide unforgettable holidays for families with children and groups of adults. Located in a quiet cul-de-sac in the exclusive Martinhal Resort Development, Villa Verde offers luxurious privacy and calm, yet is a stroll away from sports and dining facilities on the famous golden sands of Martinhal Beach (with two restaurants and water sport facility) and a short walk to the picturesque village Sagres with its restaurants, shops and lively night life.
• Modern solar installations provide heating to the pool and house in a sustainable manner, while the layout is designed to shelter from wind and allow you to soak up the sun while overlooking the Atlantic ocean and islands of Martinhal Bay. The house is insulated to the highest standards, staying cool in summer and warm in winter without AC; Solar panels keep the house warm in winter (underfloor heating); Photovoltaic panels reduce the energy consumption;
•Unobstructed views from Villa and sheltered pool area over sand dunes, beach, dramatic islands and ocean as well as across the bay to Sagres town and fishing port
•Solar-heated, chlorine-free (salt sanitised) 12.5m long pool with shallow 0.90m and deep up to 1.90m ends allows for play and swimming laps in equal measure. A motorised safety cover allows closing of the pool when not in use;
•Fully equipped modern kitchen with AEG German appliances, outdoor gas Barbecue
•Lovingly furnished and decorated with superior bed linen and premium mattresses, comfortable sofas and dining table;
•Huge, sunny terrace around pool with sun-loungers and wicker outdoor furniture to soak up the views;
•High Speed WiFi Internet, Blu-Ray player and High Definition TV with Satellite Channels in many different languages;
•If required cots, extra bed for older children, high chair and toys are available;
•Spectacular Martinhal beach is in ca. 4 mins walk from Villa Verde. Activities on the beach include climbing dunes, swimming, body-boarding, paddle-boarding, windsurfing, kayaking, snorkelling and diving in the crystal clear waters. The beach has two restaurants, equipment rental and lessons and lifeguards all summer.
•Kids play areas with features including trampolines, bouncy castles and bungee are also a short stroll away;
•Sagres town is a short walk or bike ride (bicycle hire available nearby) away and offers additional beaches, a large choice of quirky restaurants and lively night-life. Surfing and body-boarding lessons as well as whale and dolphin-watching and diving expeditions are also available.
•Within 30mins drive you have dozens of additional spectacular Atlantic beaches: some are surfing meccas some for families with kids, some just deserted, as well as fishing villages and the medieval town of Lagos with its marina, bars and restaurants.
•The owners live nearby and are available if you have any problems, questions or requests – they want you to have an unforgettable experience!

Beautiful, well appointed villa which made for a really comfortable stay. The heated pool was lovely and the sea views are spectacular!Richard and Lena are the loveliest, kindest and most helpful hosts you could wish for!

A very nice property within a 5 minute walk of Martinhal beach. The pool is amazing and kept comfortably warm, which is especially nice in the evenings when temperatures turn cooler. Grocery store is a 5 minute drive away. Richard and Lena are extraordinarily nice hosts, who live on the property in a separate home and eager to help with anything. They will meet you upon arrival to tour the house and again when you depart to hand off the keys. A few things to know: 1. As stated in the listing, there is no air conditioning. We're told that is not uncommon because of typical weather in Sagres. But, we were there during a heatwave and it was unbearable at night. Because all the windows and sliding doors are without screens, we closed them at night. There are no fans circulating air inside and it is quite uncomfortable in high temperatures. 2. Bedding does not include top sheet, so sleeping is either with a duvet or blanket. With hot weather, it is not ideal. No extra bedding of any kind is available. 3. Unless you want to use body wash as shampoo, bring your own. Overall, a very nice property and experience, but we would be wary of staying again in the Sagres region without A/C.

Can’t say enough on how perfect the accommodations were. Beautifully built Villa with an amazing view, very large outdoor patio, with a nice sized, clean pool for laps or play. The area was, and felt, extremely safe. Short walk to the beach, which has a couple of restaurants for food or drinks. We were amazed on how short of a drive into the main town of Sagres was, under 5 minutes. Location was ideal for that short drive into town, or good take off spot to all the more remote beaches/attractions. Highly recommend!
