Beautiful classic design house with a fantastic view of the lake below. Great position for local beaches, shopping and dining. You could get around on bikes but a car helps in the heat. Nothing better than sitting in the evening on the balcony taking in the lake view as the sun comes down. The jewel in this house is the pool. Its large and a top class facility and although shared was always empty to use. In the heat of the summer its a welcome way to cool down. The hosts live on site but never seen and very friendly to welcome you and say goodbye. Recommended

This is a spacious country house overlooking the Bourget lake, and the view is simply astonishing. Pros: Where to start... - Can easily accommodate multiple couples and children, since there are two apartments. - House is well-equipped: Kitchen has everything, stove works great, two fridges. Multiple bathrooms, bedding arrangements were comfortable. - If you're not sure about using the pool which is on the owners' side, don't worry. They're totally cool about it. - Zero crime or safety concerns. - Small-but-good supermarket walking distance, massive Carrefour is a 15 minute drive. - Owners: Kind and welcoming. Born-and-raised locals, they know everything, especially about skiing and biking. Aix les Bains & Savoie: Hiking without a drive, biking around Mont Revard, access to the beach and the marina, Chamonix, Annecy and Geneva are all a short drive. The food is spectacular and the Savoyards are very laid-back. Cons: None. Note: This house is slightly on the rustic side and does not have AC, which was fine by us. In June, the windows were permanently open, with a breeze, lovely garden and no adjacent structures. We were very comfortable with the fans in 85F / 27C temps.

Veronica is one of the most welcoming and attentive hosts I have ever encountered. Her family was engaging and informative, and provided support whenever we required it (not often). Terri (husband) cooked pizza's in a special pizza oven for all of the house guest and we all sat around the pool wining, dining and chatting til late into the night. Great recommendation!

The house, grounds, pool and location are all lovely, with beautiful views of the lake and mountains. The hosts were friendly, respectful of our privacy and quickly gave help when we needed it. The only problem was that in 38 degree heat there was no air con and inadequate fans, we had to buy better ones in order to enjoy our stay.

We had a lovely stay at the property. A wonderful unique place to stay with the most incredible vistas. The garden was beautiful and pool area too. Charming down to the cute goat and pair of sheep at the back. Many an evening sat on the balcony watching the many moods of the lake and mountains. Behind the property a wood and incredible walks up into the hills behind. Veronique and the family were friendly and helpful - at the same time we had absolute privacy. The village is lovely: quiet and off the beaten track. The beach - 5 minutes away was great! The best one we experienced.

The house is a magnificent and large old French country house. The views are absolutely stunning. It was a delight to wake up every morning to those breathtaking mountains and lake. The pool was very nice and very clean. The hosts live on the grounds, but we never felt crowded and Véronique, Thierry and their daughter were extremely helpful and kind. The area is perfect base to explore the surrounding cities like Annecy and Chambery, and even further to Lyon and Geneva. But our favorite day trip was to Chanaz. There isn't much in the local village, but you are only a short distance from a large supermarket in Gresy and plenty of restaurant and life in Aix. The small, lakefront beach in Brison is also fantastic. We spent many days of our two weeks down by the water and enjoyed every second. The only drawback with our stay is that the wifi was very weak. We had to rely on cellular data during our stay for most of the time. But I think that may be par for the course in that area. You don't come to Brison for the internet. But in all other regards, a truly magnificent holiday in a charming old home.
