Minafon in Llangynog, Powys, sleeps four guests in two bedrooms.
The living areas in this three-storey property consist of a kitchen/diner with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine, a sitting room with Smart TV and a multi-fuel burner, and a snug with record player. The bedrooms consist of a king-size with electric woodburner-effect stove, and a second-floor family room with a double and a single, along with a main bathroom. Outside there is an enclosed garden with patio and furniture, and parking in the FOC village car park. Two well-behaved dogs welcomed, but sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. You'll find a shop in 2.3 miles and a pub in 0.1 miles. Minafon is the ideal base for a countryside escape to Powys. Note: The cottage is situated close to the valley road, so some associated noise may be heard at times. Note: Sloping ceilings and some restricted head height in the second-floor double bedroom. Note: The second-floor bedroom is accessed via stairs from the snug. Note: Mobile signal is intermittent due to location. Note: Stairs are fairly steep. A travel cot, stairgate and highchair can be requested.

Alternatively, you can cross the border into Shropshire and see Shrewsbury, a town with a rich history and a Grade I castle. This is a stunning area of the nation and is a great starting point for exploring Shropshire and the rest of North and Mid Wales.
