Fantastic place all round and great staff

Beautifully renovated in a polished concrete and chic style with a superb pool and incredible location next to the turtle centre and a lovely Restaurant on the beach. Breakfast was generous and served by a lovely local man. Kelly the owner was friendly and very helpful as we arrived - even was kind enough to lend us 5000Lkr to buy dinner at the Oruwa restaurant (owned by a great guy Thilina) to save us having to jump in a tuk tuk and go to the ATM which was very kind of her. She clearly has great taste and a background in renovations. Kelly was very open and honest about some previous reviews, but we speak as we find and we found her very personable with no issues We also had free use of an open area upstairs for chilling out and use of fridge and access to water which when travelling is a real bonus thanks again Kelly.

We had a great time at Red Sun Beach Villa. The owner and the staff were very caring and attentive to all our family’s needs and wishes. The room was cozy and clean, with a fantastic view of the beach and the sunset. The pool was our favorite place to hang out as it was cool there throughout the day. The breakfast was generous and varied, and we appreciated it very much that we could use the kitchen area around the clock to fix little snacks for the children or make ourselves coffee or tea at will. The location is perfect for exploring the area’s numerous turtle centers, the closest one being right next door. Overall, our stay in Kosgoda proved very relaxing and pleasant, and we’re grateful to the Red Sun Beach Villa folks for making it so.
