It was a very old property furnished in a fascinating way.
The birds on the roof were loud. Also, I don't know why double-glazed windows aren't more popular in Europe, but they would really cut down on the outside noise.

Great location. Lively but expected. Nice canalside bar and a good sandwich spot nearby. Just 2 stops from the Centraal by tram. Feels like a classy, old-era mansion. Comfortable beds, clean sheets, and a very responsive, helpful host with really nice recommendations of places.
Photos were misleading, space felt smaller than expected. No terrace or seating area access as anticipated.

- Location right at the city center - very unique furniture - bar of trust
- ground floor and basement of this house is rented as a e.g. privat birthday parties with a dancing club room incl. proper sound system (very loud until early morning time) - unfortunately without any prewarning from landlord) - be ready to climb very steep wooden stairs into and within apartment - directly in front of a club on the opposite site of the street - leaking of bath from upper floor down to the kitchen
