La vita e bella

Our hostess was absolutely lovely and welcomed us so warmly. She took the time to orient us to the albergue and patiently answer all our questions. We even ran into her and her husband in the village, where she greeted us warmly and offered restaurant recommendations. The next morning, she kindly offered to take photos of us to commemorate the beginning of our Camino. I’m so grateful to have those special memories captured in photos!!

I'm not a fan of paper sheets. I understand why they are used but I was happiest in the places we stayed with cotten sheets.

The owners are an exceptional couple they make you feel at home. They will go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need.

Great location and free coffee / kitchen facilities which are nice

Not really a communal vibe, lots of signs everywhere that felt like they were telling you off and a bit passive aggressive (i.e. ‘yes you can pick up your own hair’, ‘don’t shower long, think about other people’). There are nicer and friendlier places to say in Saint Jean for sure.
