The balcony was fantastic, and it was only about an 8 minute walk to the entrance of the pyramids. The owner was exceptional checking in regularly and making sure we had everything we needed. There’s a small shop for water and snacks across the street. The restaurant near the hotel El Gizawy is delicious and cheap 150 per person.
The power outlets were positioned quite high on the wall and were a bit loose, so they couldn’t properly support the weight of our travel adapters, we had to improvise a small support. The bathrooms are not connected to the room, you have to enter a shared living room and walk down a hallway to your private bathroom. The surrounding area may feel a bit dirty or run-down by Western standards, but we never once felt unsafe, even when returning at night.
