    Came for the Sponichi Yamanakako Run 2026. Great location as it was close to the starting area.

    Hotel is well located for Yamanakako Lake (a 2 min walk) and is a short drive away from local convenience stores. Staff are well meaning, friendly and patient with non-Japanese speakers. They were also helpful when trying to book local restaurants. Rooms are clean and of decent size for families but not the largest encountered. Please also note that rooms DO NOT have private showers although they do have their own toilet. Showers are located across the hallway and you can also use the public onsen downstairs. Breakfast was great with a decent spread but you need to add extras if you have more than 2 people in your room and you should try and give them advance notice. Note that eggs need to be ordered in advance when you arrive. Most rooms do not have much of a view but you can go up to the roof top or out the back for views of Fuji on a clear day. Final point - this is a dog friendly hotel so do not stay here if you don't like dogs! Great if you (like us) like dogs :)
