About this house rental
Located on the edge of woods and a meadow (private), on a dead-end lane, we offer you the charm of a Périgord-style house with many advantages.
While enjoying peace and quiet in the heart of nature, you’ll find yourself close to the Dordogne Valley’s major attractions.
A spacious and comfortable home, tastefully renovated and well-maintained. Insulation and very thick stone walls help keep the house cool in summer and maintain a comfortable temperature during the cooler months.
It features 2 large bedrooms with high-quality, brand-name bedding—one with a 160-size double bed and one with two single beds—a bathroom with a shower, a living room with a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, and a fully equipped kitchen. Large terrace with a barbecue and lounge chairs, beautiful views of the valley, and private parking.
Electric heating with the option to use a kerosene heater (upon request). Access to the garden, meadow, and woods (private). Hiking trails also start right from the house.
A baby crib is available upon request, and a high chair is provided.
Linens are not provided.
End-of-stay cleaning is optional for 80 €.
Short-term stays of 5 nights or more are available, except from June through September.

This house was in a wonderful location for exploring the Dordogne area, close to beautiful towns eg Sarlat, Domme, and with its own lovely views over the surrounding countryside. It was delightfully quiet and the terrace was ideal for a late afternoon drink.
The owner was very welcoming.
The house loses a star rating because
a) the house was difficult to find, especially for non- French speakers
b) prior to our stay, replies from the owner were not always prompt
c) compared to other houses we have stayed in, the lack of basic necessities eg soap, toilet paper, garbage bags, wood for the BBQ and fire etc was noticeable. We needed to supply everything.

This was a beautiful home in a PERFECT location - just minutes away from Beynac, La Roque-Gageac, Domme, and other stunning towns along the Dordogne river. The region is beautiful, as is the view from the terrace and upstairs windows. The owners were friendly and pleasant, though we had a little trouble contacting them/getting a reply to our emails before arriving. It was rather cold in the house, as the weather was unseasonably cold and the radiators were not on. Regardless, we had a wonderful stay and highly recommend the place.
