Wheelwright's Rest, Legbourne, Louth

The apartment was beautifully appointed with many luxurious thoughtful touches throughout. There was a generous welcome pack of local speciality plum bread, plus a white loaf, with jams, and butter and milk already in the fridge on arrival. Karen was most helpful and made sure we were happy with everything. Electric charger for the car was a bonus.

Nothing to do with the property itself, but the access is a little tight if you're visiting in a van or similar.

It was easy to access well designed and set out. very modern and it was very apparent that a lot of care and thought had been given to the property and the guests using it. The hamper, milk and butter were a lovely thought and much appreciated . The radio was playing softly when we entered which made it feel very homely Everything we could possibly need was provided. The thought that went into the property and our stay was just amazing

There was nothing i didn’t like

All spotless and perfect for my needs. There was everything anyone could want or need and plenty of storage space as well as a good fan for the hot weather. I loved the location in the village with a local shop ... near enough to Louth which is a lovely town but also close to coastal options as well as so many interesting places to visit. It is well worth doing an internet search before visiting for things like local historical churches (some of which are very special) and local ice cream outlets away from man towns. My main reason for visiting the area was to see if Sutton-on-Sea from 1960s childhood trips had changed much. Happily it is just as wonderful with none of the louder seaside additions. Lovely street of interesting shops, a wonderful beach and super cafe overlooking the sea front. There is plenty of coastline to enjoy with nature reserves and open beaches away from the towns. The larger resorts are much busier. Cleethorpes is still a favourite but currently undergoing major work along the seafront so it will be interesting to see whether or not the proposed alterations will change a lovely traditional seaside town too much ...

The only problem I had was operating the bedroom TV. The TV in the day living space was excellent ... and I may have just not been technical enough to link the bedroom one to wifi. The wifi was perfect for all other needs and I could easily have contacted the owner but decided I would enjoy reading in such a comfortable and cosy room.

Excellent accommodation, well fitted out and good use of space. Owners lovely, very generous provision of supplies, WiFi worked, comfortable night's sleep. Everything immaculate. Thanks for a great stay

Hard to think of anything really. We couldn't work out how to turn the volume down on the TV remote. Google Gemini helped us out with that one ! But I'm sure the owners would have explained if we had asked :) Accommodation fully deserving of a 10/10 !
