Jungle House Luxury Stays - Downtown Chillicothe

Cool concept. Full sized washer and dryer if you needed that.

The people in charge of renting the house were annoying and made it feel like I was about to get scammed. No curtain in back room where the deck leads up to. Kinda creepy overall. Creepy with cool furniture.

The Jungle House is located an easy few blocks walk from downtown Chillicothe. My wife and I walked downtown in the evening and felt perfectly safe. The house is filled with beautiful plants and was very clean. Chillicothe is a wonderful little town with a couple of breweries, nice coffee shop, and a very nice park for walking the dogs.

Clean. 3 bedrooms, 4 TV’s, spacious

Primary bed was very hard and uncomfortable.

The interior is beautiful and it is a quick walk to all the businesses and other resources in beautiful downtown Chillicothe

There was a hidden $59 non-refundable security deposit that the property managers pressure you into. The other option (which I did choose) was to have them put a $300 hold on your credit card for two weeks. This is a ridiculous way to do business. Why not just make the actual price reflect the fees the visitor will pay? I chose this property because it appeared to be a very good price for one night - until they hit me with the additional $59. The other problem was that the management repeatedly hounded me by phone, text, and email to pay the fee. They called two hours before I had told them I would check in to see how my check in had gone - an actual phone call. It all felt super invasive. I just want to rent a place and go there and sleep. I don't need 10 points of contact before I arrive (not exaggerating) and more after I leave. I have gotten at least two (maybe three?) texts asking me to give them a 10/10 review. Sorry, but this place is definitely not a 10/10.
