J Hotel, Shanghai Tower

This is the highest hotel in the world, or room at floor 92 was amazing and perfect. Breakfast was fantastic, all foods in the world were present. Reception personnel spoke fluent English and was very professional. Room was cozy, big and very comfortable.

If I have to find some needs for improvement, they are very minor: at 3.30 pm the room was not ready yet (check-in starts at 3 pm), but the hotel offered us tea/coffee, biscuits and gave us a present. Staff was more than professional and dealt the situation perfectly. At 4 pm we had our room. personnel at swimming pool should know a little bit more English. the swimming pool is not so special, but a small and not deep one.

We liked the views , buffet options were fantastic. Room was huge and full of amenities, but some weren’t matching for a 5 star hotel.

The lounge and breakfast areas felt a bit outdated in terms of design.

Towels look old for the kind of a hotel and the toiletries provided are in very small quantities.

Lack of communication with the personnel, led to various misunderstandings. The dinning in the room after 21:30 was terrible, only the club sandwich was edible. The 120th restaurant is only good for the view. Spa prices were ridiculous, the 2 hours deep massage was more expensive than the suite, and a subject for haggling.
