Compass Cottage

Beautiful cottage for the perfect Northumbria holiday. The property was exactly what we wanted for our family with a cosy cottage feel & modern bathroom. All 3 bedrooms are on the top floor with only a few steps up to them. All 3 bedrooms were uniquely decorated inkeeping with the cost feel. The village has plenty pubs, a co-op supermarket, a park and lots of places to walk. A great base to explore local tourist spots.

The property is very cosy and tastefully decorated and extremely well equipped, we didn’t feel it was missing anything. The pictures do not do the place justice it’s much better. The bed in the main bedroom was so comfortable I wanted to take it home! It is in an extremely quiet location perfect if you are looking for a quiet getaway. It is also not too far to walk into town where there a few shops pubs and takeaways, but be warned the hill back up is quite steep.

My sister in law reported that the double bed in the bedroom over looking the street was extremely squeaky although she felt the mattress was very comfortable
