Welcome to our family cabin, built in 1942 and located in The Hickory Nut Gorge Community. On Bearwallow Mountain, this cabin is centrally located to many popular and well developed hiking trails, and is only a 16 mile drive to the Biltmore Estate, and 18 miles to Downtown Ashville. In the other direction you'll find Chimney Rock in 7 miles and Lake Lure in 11. Relax and enjoy the closeness to nature on our private upper level deck and the lower terrace's rustic and romantic gazebo with firepit. Inside, enjoy our newly remodeled well stocked kitchen. OR, snuggle up in the living room and enjoy a cozy fire at the push of a button, or a family movie night in the great room! In the mornings we like to sip our coffee as we walk down the hill to the neighborhood pond. Of course the grassy field is great for lightening bugs in the summer, too. Whether a comfortable space to relax and make memories in, or a great jumping off point for adventures is what you're looking for, our cabin has been just that for our family, and we'd love to share the experience with you!
