This lovely holiday home 'ANTICO BORGO', in Versilia is located in the plain, at the edge of the villages of Ripa and Pozzi, in a small hamlet.
Of ancient origins, this farmhouse is surrounded by age-old olive groves and is located just 5 minutes from the beaches of Forte dei Marmi and a few kilometers from the silence of the Apuan Alps.
An enviable position, which offers a lot to both sea and mountain lovers, allowing you to make very different experiences during the same holiday!
This old farmhouse, originally an 18th century summer retreat for nuns from Lucca, has recently been restored by the owners who live in a flat of the property, ready to offer you a warm welcome and to provide you with information and suggestions on how to enjoy at the best your stay at Antico Borgo, making it unforgettable.
Even today, the owners produce their own extra virgin olive oil, their jam, cultivate their herbs, fruits and vegetables, trying to keep family traditions alive.
ANTICO BORGO retains a charm of the past, but at the same time offers all the modern comforts necessary for an unforgettable holiday.
The farmhouse, built in stone, offers, with its original walls, an excellent insulation both from heat and cold, maintaining the right temperature in all seasons. But you'll also find AC in the bedrooms.

ALPI APUANE
The bright and coloured flat "Alpi Apuane" (80 sq.mt 4 pp), just refurbished, consists of a bright living room with sofa, a kitchenette with a marble counter (fully equipped and with dishwasher) and a dining area, whose windows look at the Apuan Alps and at the sunsets. An elagant large double bedroom with 2 windows (where you can add a cot on request), a very large twin bedded bedroom with sofa and tv (where you can add a 5th bed on request), a spacious bathroom with a just made walk-in shower and a separated laundry room complete the flat.

The property, is surrounded by a large garden and olive grove (3000sqmt), shared with the owners, fitted out with a barbeque.
A large patio, with ancient wooden beams, is also available for the guests, where other tables offer the possibility of eating outdoors even on less beautiful days.
Our charming farmhouse is a perfect base for a wide range of naturalistic, artistic and entertainment attractions, but it is also the right place to enjoy moments of relaxation in all seasons, offering ever-changing colors and fragrances.
Nice during the long summer evenings have a rest drinking a good glass of wine in the large garden, surrounded by flowers and aromatic herbs, fruit trees and ancient olive trees, enjoying the sight of the Alps at sunset! But also drinking a good coffee in the colorful and mild autumn days!
But the farmhouse is appreciated all year round, because in every season there are very good reasons to visit Versilia. We are waiting for you!
For our guests: Table tennis, basket hoop, table football, darts board, bowling and a See-Saw for the youngest children.
There is a second covered playing area in the shade with table football and toys for the kids.

What to see and do
The property, set among olive groves, lies between several small towns and villages: Pietrasanta with its famous historical centre, art galleries and exihibitions, Forte dei Marmi famous for its beaches, for exclusive shopping, and night life, Seravezza at the foot of the Apuan Alps (from Monte Altissimo was extracted the famous marble Statuario), mountains famous for some astonishing caves and for trekking trails, lakes and canyons..
Quiet places, but full of restaurants and shops, reachable on foot.
In the area there are many tennis courts, riding stables, a golf course and a swimming pool.
The Versiliana, a famous pinewood near the sea, is the right place for people who love jogging.
A few minutes from the beaches of Versilia, just a few kilometers from the Apuan Alps, but also not far from towns/cities like Lucca and Pisa. Florence is 50 minutes far, Siena and San Gimignano 1 hour and a half far from Antico Borgo. Le Cinque Terre are reachable by train in a short time(Forte dei Marmi/Querceta railway station). Portovenere less than 1h far. Torre del Lago Puccini is 20 minutes far from us.

There are many events all year round throughout Tuscany, but many are concentrated during the summer.
Many 'sagre', or festivals dedicated around a particular local product, start in early summer and continue on through the autumn when local specialties (truffles, wine, olive oil, marroni chestnuts) come into season.
In Versilia you will find a lot of sagre organised by the various 'contrade' which give life to the Palio dei Micci (1st Sunday of May). They offer typical dishes (tordelli and panzanelle) in the evenings of July, August and mid September.
If you are coming to Tuscany during other periods of the year, don't worry as there is always something to see or do (or eat!) then as well.
