Blue Moon House - A budget hostel for easy travellers

The owner was very helpful in getting a private driver for a day trip to different activities and helped us book our trip to an elephant sanctuary. The room was fairly spacious for the 2 of us and it was centrally located for all the great restaurants!

A light wasn’t working and they said they’d fix it the same day we checked in, but it never got fixed. The bed was also quite firm! There was an ants/bugs problem, so it was hard to keep our travel snacks safe (we threw away the bag holding the snacks since ants were all over it). There’s also 2 doors on opposite sides of the room and 1 couldn’t fully lock, so I didn’t feel very secured. It wasn’t too bad! The nice staff made up for it.

The staff was really sweet, breakfast was a nice addition and the beds were pretty comfy.

The style of the beds in some of the rooms is nicer than others and the lighting was a bit fluorescent

The staff were very helpful and kind. Location was pretty good too, close everywhere within the city centre. The room was cleaned daily and there was a free coffee and games available downstairs in the lounge for guests. The bed nice and big, fresh sheets on second day.

There was 200 baht deposit for the key that we were not made aware of until checking in. The AC was very weak and took long to cool down the room, even on max settings. The bathroom was a bit unpractical and not pleasant. There was insects all over the sink and it wasn’t ventilated properly(always hot). There was a child in the reception/ lounge that was screaming a lot at random times day and night, because the walls are thin we could hear everything in our room. The loud screaming was the worst but we could also hear people coming back during the night very well.
