A&A Apartment Basildon

The place was very nice, spacious enough and quiet. The host was friendly and hospitable. The apartment was clean and had most of the essential facilities we required. Excellent wifi. The location was good for us – just about 7-10 minutes’ walk to shops/places like Aldi, McDonalds, Range, Iceland, periodic street market, and just a little further to Lidl, KFC, another McDonalds, Tesco, Poundland etc. The train station is about 18-20 minutes’ walk away and a bus service runs right along the road to the apartment. We really enjoyed our stay.

The fee for cleaning was quite exorbitant. The housing area is a bit shabby but efforts were made by the host to make the apartment itself relatively modern.

Could do with another sofa, and full length mirror.

The bathroom ceiling having mold and peeling. Moldy round the bath. Not inviting for getting yourself clean. 2 single beds made into double but mattresses put opposite way to divans therefore having a ridge and really uncomfortable to sleep. Heating hot at night but not during the evenings or mornings. Signs of damp in bedroom. Stains on walls.
