Property and location was ideal for our needs

Kitchen was freezing - no radiator. Plumbing was very poor especially showering and toilet cistern took forever to fill . Bathroom needs being brought into 21st century

Wonderful location to enjoy canal walks and countryside. Well equipped cottage and secure parking. Well placed for town and shopping.

Concerned that the shower would overflow as didn't drain away quick enough. Some information , leaflets would be nice to have in the cottage about local attractions to visit.

Quiet peaceful retreat

The location was peaceful and was just what we needed to relax.

Nothing really. The property may be a little dated but we didn’t mind that. The toilet took a long time to fill up and was a bit noisy but it didn’t spoil our holiday!

Lovely old Linslade

The friendly host Jackie met us & showed us around... but then left us to our own devices which was great. The annexe is attached to the Manor House, although it's completely private... separate entrance etc. Very secure & gated. Great base for surrounding area.. walked to the Globe in along the canal for dinner & drinks which was nice.. only a mile.. leighton buzzard is very close by car .. we travelled around to lots of places non of which were excessively far.

Hot water ran out so had to stagger showers .. 3 adults staying. So hubby had his at night.. daughter & myself in the morning so no problem really. The bathroom is dated but I liked that .. a bit of avocado nostalgia. Great lighting for makeup & spacious so all good. Netflix on TV.. large comfy living room & bedroom.. Great space.

Location. Beautiful countryside. Nice walks near canal. Host extremely helpful, check in good, straightforward. Nice walk to local Canalside pub. Peaceful and relaxing outside patio area to sit in to enjoy the views. We had a wonderful stay.

Manor House Annexe Weekend Stay..

It's a great little place to stay for a getaway.. beautiful, lush, green surroundings. The property was very clean and very comfortable, with all the amenities you'll need. The hosts were also lovely to meet, showed us around the property, how everything works, etc. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Barry and Jackie! *****

Perfect place to stay

This annex was the perfect place for us to stay. It was quiet, clean and very well equipped. It's to the side of the main house but apart from our arrival I don't think we saw the owners so it was nice and private. The bathroom is a little dated but that wasn't a problem. My son stayed on the sofabed which we left up for all of our stay. The TV had Sky so we could tune in to F1 and Wimbledon! We walked in both directions along the canal which is close by (you can walk to pubs in either direction). We recommend and would return if in the area again.

We had a little trouble finding it - some more instructions would be useful (eg. it's next to the church!).

Beautiful and cozy place to spend some good time with family

the property is surrounded by beautiful nature and the hosts are very friendly and welcoming.. My family and I enjoyed our time there and if we ever get the chance to go somewhere around Melton Keynes (again), we will definitely book it again.

A fabulous location with great hosts. Everything was clean and comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and the attention to detail throughout the house was much appreciated.

Beautiful location in the countryside, with secure gated parking, and easy access to local amenities

The location is beautiful and very peaceful, with a canal nearby and surrounding fields. There is secure parking with easy access through the main gates, (probably one of the only local places that offer this). I booked this place for my 84 year old father (who has Alzheimer's) and my mother, who both loved it. They felt comfortable and relaxed in a very clean and warm house with all the facilities they needed, Barry was an excellent host and was always available. I highly recommend staying here rather than the local hotels, and would be happy for my folks to stay again.
