Philip was extremely kind and passionate about the property and its history. He’s treating it with reverence and pride. I’d recommend this to everyone visiting Normandy. There’s not another experience. As he said, “you’re standing in history!” He’s absolutely correct. My only wish, we’d stay longer. I’ll visit again.

The property is amazing, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the chateau has amazing history, and linked to WW2, the hosts are the owners of the Chateau and have a brilliant museum on site. They are very accommodating and friendly and so is Toby the dog. A great place to stay.
The only downside we found was the lack of restaurant which meant a trip into St Mere Eglise in the evening on our motorbikes, but the restaurant there was excellent, so not so bad after all.

Great location, eclectic and large collection of WW2 artefacts.
Friendly owner. Overall a unique experience.
All was great.

It’s a charming property with amazing history. The owner has done a fantastic job of keeping the old charm combined with modern updated rooms. It was also great having access to a mini fridge. Not as common in Europe, apparently. The bed and bedding was also very comfortable. There is also a on-site museum. That is absolutely amazing. Two sweet puppies a kitty also welcomed us.

Very quiet and secluded location. Room was new and very clean. The kids loved the resident cats and dogs.
Small interesting museum- the chateau you stay in was commandeered as a command center after d day.
Friendly proprietor and staff.
The location was fine for us but be aware you have the drive to get a meal other than a continental breakfast.

The chateau is beautifully restored, the rooms were well decorated and the furniture and beds were very comfortable. The owners hospitality really made the stay that much better, they were extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the areas history and the role that this particular chateau played in the WW2 invasion. We are already talking about our visit back to see everyone, including Toby. The gite was perfect for a family of four with two teenagers.

Fantastic Chateau steeped in history, sympatheticly renovated, with lovely clean rooms, in a quiet location and amazingly friendly and helpful staff. AND a Museum onsite....the owners have tremendous passion and it shows throughout the whole property. The breakfast was delicious in their charming bar and we also enjoyed a lovely drink (draft beer) on arrival sitting in the spacious and beautiful courtyard. Utterly idyllic. Oh and the friendly dogs...a nice bonus (from a dog lover myself) ....we will be returning....thank you:)
Absolutely nothing!

Unexpected. And Wonderful.
This is a very unique place to stay. The hotel itself is in a building from the 1500’s and is part of an estate that the owner has been meticulously refurbishing. He and his wife are both very interesting people. They also have a wonderful Burnese Mountain dog.
The building/hotel owner is an admitted enthusiast of WWII history. During war the building served as the headquarters for a German general and, after D-Day, for General James Lawton Collins. Part of the building now houses a very unique military museum (https://www.tripadvisor.ie/Attraction_Review-g608795-d25576850-Reviews-D_DAY_Collins_Museum-Sainte_Mere_Eglise_Manche_Basse_Normandie_Normandy.html).
The bedrooms have all been recently decorated and are beautiful. Each room is named after a WWII general (Eisenhower, Bradley, Collins, etc.)
Breakfast was terrific.
Note that there is no A/C and there is a short flight of stairs to get to the rooms. The stairs are spiral so large/heavy luggage might be a challenge.

The museum and the most beautiful dog
Immaculately clean
Very clinical with no pictures in bedroom Decor unfortunately not to our taste, small room
No fridge or kettle

Hotel with history.
New rooms, with more to come for future guests.
Gift shop.
Good decorations.
Not far from a main road.
Good links to WW2 sites.
Maybe free entry to the museum as part of the hotel package. Rooms, even though must be just finished, are not completely finished. Parking needs to be addressed if the capacity of the place is host more people. I am sure this will happen.
Rope down the spiral stair case. As this could be helpful for the elderly. I’m sure this place will become a good attraction in the future.

A voir absolument.
Nous y retournerons.
Encore merci.
Il serait bien d'avoir une piscine dans l'extension sur laquelle, ils travaillent ?
