    I have stayed at Namkhan Riverside many times however, however for this stay I booked a cheaper room to see how it compared. Unfortunately I didn't love the room, mainly because it felt very exposed to the general courtyard of the hotel. The front wall is entirely glass windows, so unless you draw the curtains there is no privacy. That said, rooms on the second floor have a lovely balcony with a river view and I much prefer those. The beds are really comfy. Towels could do with replacing. I will stay again, but I will book directly and request a second floor room. The young boy at the reception desk with the glasses is really lovely and helpful as well.

    Namkhan Riverside is a great location with friendly staff, good breakfast and quiet rooms. Happy to recommend it. Caban, just around the corner, does an excellent burger with a Lao twist, if you're in for a change from Lao laap.

    Hotel situates near Phusi Namkhane side of town. Lots of small businesses and it’s within walking distance to any where really. Took a while to locate hotel as it was off main road. It is near Wat Apay. There is Namkhane night market right next to it but it’s not well known as the one in town. Room is nice and clean. Only towels and hair dry provided, no toothpaste or toothbrush. There is a small fridge to keep drink cooled, two refilled bottles of water and coffee. Shampoo and conditioner are provided. There are swimming pools. Breakfast included and it was ok. Hot & cold water can be used however hot water can take some time to come. Only stay here for few days before going north. Recommended for this price.
