Harbinson House

The Harbinson House was a great place to stay for going to a show at Ace of Spades. It is in a beautiful historic neighborhood and the place itself is a quirky historic home. I was able to walk back and forth from the venue while looking at the amazing architecture of the houses. My room had an Alice In Wonderland theme with a functioning Victorola which was really cool. There is a shared bathroom with one other room, but it was really clean and not an issue. Late check-in and early check-out is the only small issue I had.

10/10 experience and great host.

This is an amazing place to stay! It was cool to be able and book on here as the experience is definitely more inline with a BNB. If you don't know, Harbinson House is a 1912 historic Craftsman home. Thanks to Rhonda, the on-site host, I learned how it was designed by California's first state architect, George C. Sellon. Now, it's operated as a unique boutique guest home. It features heavily artistic, themed rooms like an Alice in Wonderland wonderland room (which I was fortunate enough to stay in) and a romantic French-themed room. The architecture, period-correct furniture, and eclectic art makes for an amazing experience. And while it is older, the amenities are modern. And the AC definitely blows cold for those hot summer days in Sacramento. The only thing I missed in the booking was that it's a common bathroom upstairs for the guests. Just something to note if you get a chance to stay here. But what an amazing experience all-around!
