House in Currimundi
Reasons to book
About this house rental
Plenty of room for the whole family at this pet friendly beach home, just a short stroll to Ballinger Beach. Relax in the spa bath in the main ensuite, let the kids loose in the rumpus room, then gather on the big outdoor patio overlooking a grassy, fully fenced backyard. Currimundi Lake, Dicky Beach and the new Sunshine Coast Recreation Precinct gym and recovery centre are all close by.
The space
Set on one level, this spacious three bedroom home has room for everyone. The parents’ retreat has its own ensuite with a romantic spa bath, and there’s a second bathroom plus a separate toilet.
The rumpus room is where the fun happens, with a ping pong table and a shelf full of games: Jenga, Guess Who, Connect 4, Scrabble, Monopoly, Uno, chess, puzzles and plenty more. If you’d like something quieter, there are books for all ages too. You’ll also find pickleball and cricket sets ready for the backyard.
Outside, the fully fenced garden is ideal for bringing your pooch along. The patio has a long outdoor dining table, perfect for enjoying the cool afternoon breeze, while the kids play on the grass or get creative with chalk on the big driveway.
Inside, the cosy living room has a smart TV and a double sofa bed, and the kitchen and dining area are made for relaxed nights in. Full laundry facilities make it easy to feel at home.
Travelling with little ones? We provide a portacot, high chair, and kids’ plates, cups, bowls and cutlery.

Points of interest
- Ballinger Beach (two streets away): a much loved off leash dog beach right on your doorstep. It isn’t patrolled, so it’s best for a paddle and a splash.
- Currimundi Hotel (2 minute walk): a family friendly spot at the end of the street, perfect for an easy dinner after a big day at the beach.
- Currimundi Lake (a short walk along the boardwalk): a family favourite. Float down the lake on a boogie board, catch a few waves, then relax on the grass with live music. Bring a picnic, fire up a BBQ or grab dinner nearby.
- Dicky Beach (a pleasant walk or a few minutes’ drive): a patrolled, family friendly beach that’s usually quieter than its neighbours. A creek flows in here too, great for little ones still getting used to the waves.
- Sunshine Coast Recreation Precinct, Gym and Recovery Centre (Currimundi): a brand new sport and wellness hub close by. Shoot some hoops or play pickleball on the indoor courts, work out in the gym or weights area, join a class, then unwind in the sauna and cold plunge.

The neighbourhood
Tucked between Currimundi Lake and a string of beautiful beaches, this home is perfectly placed for exploring on foot. Head south along the waterfront boardwalk to Dicky Beach, home to my favourite coffee spot, Between the Flags. Keep going to Moffat Beach with its cafés and parks, then on to tucked away Shelly Beach and around the headland towards Kings Beach, where you might even spot whales in season. Prefer to ride? Bring your bikes and go as far as you like. With the Currimundi Hotel and a convenience store and bakery at the end of the street, you can park the car when you arrive and leave it there.
