About this apartment rental
This comfortable, quiet, centrally located apartment offers a wonderful view of the Uri mountains. Nearby in Isleten, you’ll find a free swimming and surfing beach, the boat dock, a climbers’ paradise, and the famous “Path of Switzerland” leading to the Rütli in Tell country. The village features idyllic forests, meadows, and streams, as well as a nearby playground, sports field, and tennis court. The mountain village of Isenthal lies at 780 meters above sea level and has six cable cars that take you to the perfect starting point for a hike or a stroll. One aerial cableway in Isenthal leads directly to the Gitschenen sun terrace, which features a family ski lift and restaurants. The Uri-Gotthard region offers attractive sports and recreational opportunities such as panoramic hikes, the Urirotstock nature trail, the Isenthal Bear Trail, the Crafts Trail (new in 2016), the Uri Dialect Trail (new in 2016), and a network of mountain and ski tours.
Directions: We’re very easy to find on the A2 Lucerne–Gotthard highway. Take the Flüelen exit toward Seedorf–Bauen–Isenthal. You can also reach us via Axenstrasse toward Flüelen–Seedorf–Bauen–Isenthal. If you’re traveling by public transportation, you can reach us by PostBus from the Altdorf train station or by boat from Lucerne (Isleten boat dock).

The village is off the beaten track and perfect for relaxation. Be prepared for a winding one lane road up the mountain.

My husband and I could not have been happier with this simple, but clean and efficient apartment. The village of Isenthal was a true find that we did not want to leave and the patio from the apartment had one of the best views in town! We did lots of hikes right from our doorstep and enjoyed being able to walk to the grocery store and the two restaurants in the village that were both very good. There are also various gondolas (in season) that you can ride up to alp restaurants and more hiking areas. The town had great public transportation for those who do not want to drive. The mountain road up to the village is a little precarious, but we did not have a problem. The village is a little slice of heaven that I almost want to keep a secret so that the word does not get out to everyone. The village is very Swiss and the people were all so friendly and good to us! Our hosts were also super! We look forward to visiting this area, again!
