This beautiful property was built in harmony with nature and has been tailored to exceed your expectations. We were seeking a convenient and comfortable space for 4 for overnight accommodations near our friend's cabin where another 5 friends were staying. The Silverfox Retreat is spacious, with everything we needed in the kitchen and baths. The large dining room table could seat all 9 and there were enough dishes for our group as well for the two meals we shared there. Overall things were very clean. I would recommend the house and I would stay again. That said, there were 4 things that could be improved: the lack of hot water in the shower in the main full bath, the inaccurate checkout time in the book on the entryway hallway (it said 11, the cleaning crew came at 10), the discovery of a dog chew under a pillow in one bedroom, and the very evident lack of any cleaning in the screened in porch or deck (surface, table, chairs), which had a substantial layer of pollen, dirt and tree debris (more than a few day's worth). After calling to report the latter two concerns on Saturday morning, the cleaning supervisor and crew came to the cabin to change the sheets of the bed and thoroughly clean the porch and deck. I appreciated that very much. The other two issues were discovered later so still need a resolution.

I wanted a property in St. Louis but VRBO gave us listings way out of range. We thought this was in STL but it is an hour away. That added lots of travel time to tourist sites. There are limited restaurants in Innsbrook village so we drove 20-30 mins each night for dinner. Having said that, Innsbrook was surprisingly nice! The homes are in the middle of the woods. There’s a nice pool although the lazy river is not actually a lazy river (no floaties, no current). We enjoyed the evening concert, pool, pickleball courts, & golf. We wanted to use paddle boats but the hours of operation were too limited. Overall, Innsbrook was great. But looking around at all those gorgeous homes (many of which are VRBO rentals) made us extra disappointed in this property. We’re a family of 5 adults. The house is big enough but it is in serious need of cleaning & repairs. Simple fixes: clean screened-in porch, which was covered in dirt & debris & so dirty we never used it; change fridge water filter, which was on red, so we had to buy water; clean, because we dealt with ants in the kitchen (despite seeing gallons of poisonous insect spray), & go to Goodwill and spend 30 on games to stock the empty game closet. Big fixes: carpet is filthy! Stained & bleached everywhere. Gross. Every VRBO asks guests to tidy before leaving but this was ridiculous! We had to drive garbage 1.3 miles away (wrong address is given in notes!) & strip beds, which revealed gross, dirty conditions. Good bones, but dirty!!
