After check-in on a Wednesday about 5pm we discovered the house had no water. The Guest Contact asked me to turn it on from the outside but I didn't know how nor did I have the tools to do so. He stated his person was on the way but stuck in traffic and that the City of Haines was closed. I asked the neighbor to turn it on because it was after 8:30 and we needed water. The pool was dirty with debris, a snake, and bugs but we had to wait until Friday which was when the pool service comes out. The big bugs were coming in because the screen on the patio door was torn. It would be a good idea to have a pool cleaning tool such as a net available in the event bug are in the pool. Also the water temperature in the house was luke warm and very hard to take showers. I asked the Guest Contact if the temperature could be turned up and never received an answer or response. I did not like taking cold showers nor did my family members. The water in the pool was warmer than the house but that was probably because the sun was shining on the pool. My suggestion would be to have the home checked for everything before a guest is scheduled to arrive. Also I think it is time to update the living room furniture.
