O Pequeno Castelo, the Little Castle, offers two holiday apartments off the beaten track in the Sotavento Algarvio, only 10 min. from the picturesque town of Tavira and the sandy beach of Pedras d'el Rei.
Our well designed and furnished holiday apartment Romantica consists of a bedroom with a queen size bed an an alkoven bed, bathroom, private terrace, kitchen and living room. Air conditioning, digital satellite TV and wireless internet access complete the comfort. The swimming pool with deckchairs and parasols is at the disposal of all our guests. The Little Castle, with 7000 m² of mainly natural gardens, is situated in a quiet sunny valley on a hill overlooking the sea. Santo Estevão, an idyllic Algarve village with restaurants, shopping facilities, pharmacy, post office, etc. is only a 15-minute walk away.
The Sotavento Algarvio (Eastern Algarve): Everything you dream of in a holiday destination: beautiful beaches, pleasant weather, glorious sunshine in every season. Let the sun guide you on your way to the south of Portugal and discover the Eastern Algarve, a region whose pleasant climate attracts guests all year round. In winter, temperatures rarely drop below 14 degrees, and daytime temperatures of 20-22 degrees usually allow for long walks and sunbathing on the beach. In summer, temperatures climb to 28 - 30 degrees in July and August. Enjoy the coastline with its beautiful white sandy beaches, most of which are located in Europe's unique Ria Formosa nature reserve. The clean, pleasantly temperate water of the Atlantic invites you not only to swim, but also - depending on your mood - to take part in a wide variety of water sports.

O Pequeno Castle is a uniquely attractive and comfortable in rural Portugal with nearby access to Taveira and other Algarve communities. Our hosts were friendly and helpful when needed, but they afforded us privacy and peace and quiet for our 10-day stay. It’s a little difficult to find on the winding country roads once you leave the A22 highway, but GPS with a locator from our hosts solved that problem. We would definitely recommend O Pequeno Castle to family and friends who want a quiet refuge from their busy sightseeing.
