We have stayed here before, and always look for its availability when we're in Bedford.

Location - right in the center of Bedford and close to so many stores and restaurants - is unbeatable. Also love that free parking is available. Hosts are super responsiev - helped right away with a minor glitch, even though it was a holiday. They even had a Christmas tree up when we arrived. The electric fireplace is a cheery touch - especially in the colder months.

Lots of stairs to navigate. Would appreciate things to make cooking easier - oven was hard to operate and could use some more cooking implements. But we probably cook more than most, and kitchen is fully stocked in terms of serving and eating.

Worst host in my 10 year of using booking

DO NOT STAY HERE – EXTREMELY DISHONEST HOST AND DISGUSTING PROPERTY Review from May 11-12th 2025 This was one of the worst stays I’ve ever had. The host completely ignored my messages, never once picked up my calls, and only responded late with one thing: relentlessly spamming me to pay a £250 “security deposit”—something I was never even aware of until after booking. This deposit is NOT mentioned on the Airbnb version of the listing, only sneakily added on Booking.com. So instead of paying £190 for a single night (already overpriced), I was forced to pay £450 total. Absolutely insane. And what did I get for that money? A dusty, grimy flat that looked like no one had lived in it for ages. The place was ugly, uninviting, and felt straight-up like walking into a trap house. The entrance was shady and honestly made me feel unsafe. There is nothing premium or even acceptable about this place—especially not for what they charge. To make matters worse, I had to call Booking.com support myself to even start the process of getting my deposit refunded, because the host simply wouldn’t communicate. Zero accountability, zero professionalism. Please, do not waste your money. You’re not paying £190. You’re paying £450 for a place that wouldn’t be worth half that in central London, let alone Bedford. I’m warning you now—this was a terrible experience, and I hope this review saves you from the same mistake.

A pleasant flat close to riverside and other amenities

The flat is very pleasant, it is clean and has all facilities you require for a short stay. Location is very good, close to all amenities. The contact with the owner and communication was excellent, helpful and polite. WiFi is excellent, safe free parking for the car at the back of the property.

There was a noise from neighbours bathroom? that got us a bit worried in the middle of the night as it sounded as if it was at the front door - which is downstairs. Needless to say, all was well.

Most wonderful host. I booked very last min, and Lorraine was there within 20 mins to Great us. She made us feel so welcome as we was shown around. Property was beautiful and cosy

nice flat but expensive regardless to the equipment

lorraine is really Nice and thé flat is locales really close to everything née de son town

the flat was in the second floor plus the stairs outside the house. this was not notified and I was with luggage and a 3 years old children so I would appreciate to be aware of this particularity. we were 3 and we had only 2 towels , no bath mat, and we were unlucky because a big hornet visited the flat.

An enjoyable stay in an immaculate flat

Lorraine was a delightful host. Met as on arrival and showed us around the flat. Although the outside of the building appeared a little run down the flat could easily be i a high end builing The tassimo coffee machine was a nice and unexpected bonus. The flat is within easy walking distance to a weatherspoons pub which is ideal for breakfast and evening meal (and maybe a quick pint) The yown centre is equally convenient. The gated car park was great too.

The outside of the building and the car park look a bit rough, but dont let it put you off

Exceptional apartment

The apartment was superb,beds were very comfortable and facilities were exceptional. The host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and was only a message or call away should we of needed her. We will definitely be booking again soon. Thank you lorraine

Very good

We enjoyed our stay here. We were two adults and a baby. Very comfortable beds. Walking distance of the town centre and restaurants. Lovely warm shower. Well equipped kitchen with all of the utensils you might need. Spacious living room with lots of natural light. Off road secure parking is a bonus in a busy town. Excellent value for money.

We had a couple of issues during our stay that were quickly resolved. Lorraine was easy to contact and very helpful.

Lovely stay, would recommend to everyone.

Host was lovely, met us on arrival to hand over keys and show us into the apartment. Had left the heating on so it was warm on arrival which was a nice touch. Beds were comfy and room’s spacious. Bathroom was good with warm shower. All kitchen facilities you could need and comfy furniture in the lounge. Secure parking and apartment.

Nothing we didn’t like, but it is a top floor apartment so if you struggle with stairs this is not for you.
