Chalet Emeraude - 10 personnes - Plagne Soleil

The space and spec of this chalet was perfect.

There was nothing we did not like.

Overall, the chalet is very modern having been recently built and completed to a high standard.

The chalet is said asleep 10 but two of those beds are sofa bed in the lounge. When we stayed. We had eight persons using all of the four bedrooms and this was comfortable. Having an extra two people sleeping in the lounge would’ve made the chalet feel a little claustrophobic. Location Chalet is located about in La Plagne Soleil in the White Pearl Lounge and Spa complex and sits 200m or so from the village square where there is a Spar shop, restaurants and bars distance to the nearest ski run is about 80 m. We found finding the chalet difficult as Google Maps took us to the wrong location. The owners should provide clearer references to the exact location in the white Pearl lounge and spa complex and also add a ‘What three words’ reference to make finding the building much easier. Wifi The Wi-Fi is nothing short of awful. Only two connections are allowed at a time, you have to login every time you put down your phone and the overall performance is dismal. So bad so that the smart TV won’t connect consistently so you’re unable to stream any channels, movies or link to any mobile devices to stream movies shows et cetera. The TV works well but 95% of channels are in French, which makes this problem much worse for non-French speakers wanting to relax watching a movie in between ski sessions. The owners open estate that you’re better off using 4G and relying on the Wi-Fi. For a high end chalet such as this we found level performance is completely unacceptable. Chalet key - We were only issued with a single key for the chalet and the ski room which is a complete pain. A single key is very difficult to manage when upto 10 persons are leaving and returning to the chalet at different times of the day. Two sets of keys must be provided. Ski in / out - Doable but impractical, it’s quicker and easier to walk to the village square to access runs from there unless you’re an expert skier and there is plenty of snow.

The location is excellent - we could ski in and out. The chalet is well laid out, comfortable and has a huge balcony. The facilities were fabulous - the spa was great after a day’s skiing.

If I were to criticise anything, the fitted sheets need replacing.
