Anandam Home Stay

On 28th December, I stayed here with my family for one day. The location of the homestay and its cleanliness were very nice.

The homestay has a kitchen and all the cooking utensils are available, but they did not allow cooking.

Anandam Home Stay is a highly rated accommodation in Rishikesh, located in the serene Muni Ki Reti area, just 400 meters from Janki Jhula and 150 meters from the Laxman Jhula-Rishikesh Highway. This newly constructed homestay offers a peaceful retreat with modern amenities, making it a popular choice for families, solo travelers, and those seeking a home-like experience. It has garnered excellent reviews across platforms like Tripadvisor, Booking.com, and Goibibo for its cleanliness, hospitality, and convenient location. Location: Highly praised for its proximity to key attractions like Janki Jhula (5-minute walk), Ram Jhula (10-minute walk), and Laxman Jhula, making it ideal for exploring Rishikesh. The homestay is 880 meters from Rishikesh Bus Station and 19.8 km from Jolly Grant Airport, ensuring easy access. Guests appreciate the calm and peaceful surroundings, perfect for meditation and relaxation by the Ganges. Amenities: The homestay features airy rooms with large glass windows, balconies offering mountain and Ganges views, and a fully equipped modular kitchen with an induction cookstove, pots, pans, and tea/coffee-making facilities. Other amenities include a work desk, sofa, and shared parking. The rooftop is ideal for yoga, and rooms are consistently described as clean and spacious. Hospitality: Hosts, particularly Seeta Didi and Anil Ji, are frequently highlighted for their warmth, helpfulness, and family-like treatment. Guests note the hosts’ readiness to assist with travel plans and provide a welcoming atmosphere, making it feel like a “home away from home. Cleanliness: Rooms and washrooms are consistently described as neat and well-maintained, with hot water always available. Value for Money: Guests find the homestay affordable, with the kitchen amenity being a standout feature for self-catering, reducing dining costs. The overall experience is deemed worth the price, especially for short and long stays.

1)Spacious Rooms: The rooms were generously sized, providing ample space for two individuals. This allowed my family to relax comfortably and feel at home.​ 2)Well-Equipped Kitchen: The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with all the basic amenities we needed. 3) Owner uncle was nice and provided early checkin.

As its a homestay, nothing major, but staff/maid can be trained to knock and await a response before entering, ensuring guests' comfort and security.

The Room was good, Clean and Mini Kitchen Facility was excellent. Room was equipped with WIFI and Smart TV which was good. The Place was calm and peaceful. The place is at walking distance to the market and Ram Jhula.

Apart from the quality of room and facilities provided, I was disappointed, that there was No Room Services available and it was not clearly mentioned in the property profile. You have to do all by yourself. I stayed for two days, which means room needed to clean, disposal of garbage from dustbin and change of towel for at least one time but not done. There was No reception desk. I had to call to the owner for Soap in Bathroom. Overall the place is 2 to 3 time overpriced.
